WhileMarvel vs. Capcom 4isn’t exactly a thing just yet, gamers can live out their wildest MvC fantasies inFortnite. Since the release of Chapter 5, Season 4, Fortnite has been chock-full of Marvel vs. Capcom references.
First, there was Cyclops and Jonesy recreating the iconic handshake that Cyclops and Ryu shared in X-Men vs. Street Fighter, the precursor to Marvel vs. Capcom. Then,there was Doctor Doom’s iconic foot dive being referenced as part of the season’s boss fight.
Now,as part of Fortnite’s latest update, gamers can do the foot dive themselves. For the time being, it’s as close as we’re going to get to a new Marvel vs. Capcom.
Foot Dive All Over Your Enemies
As first spotted on Twitter by a Fortnite news account, players can now foot dive with Doctor Doom’s mythic.
The mythic is part of the September 4 update to Fornite, which sees Doctor Doom continue his evil run. As part of that update, the Isle of Doom can appear in place of Loot Island, with Doom’s Cauldron being its center point. If you can successfully capture it, then you’ll become Doom’s Chosen and gain access to a wealth of powers, including the iconic foot dive.

Avid Marvel vs. Capcom fans immediately took a liking to the iconic move, with one already using it to win a round. It’s as epic as you can imagine.
Some fans are even hoping thatmore Capcom skins can make their way into the gameto help make things feel even more like a spiritual successor to Marvel vs. Capcom. Only time will tell if Epic fulfills that request, but for the time being, it’s awesome to see all the MvC love.
