Disneyfans of a certain age might occasionally be led to believe the studio doesn’t still have the magic it used to have when it comes to its blockbusters. Then something big will come along to prove us wrong, and in 2016, that something was Moana. If you’re not already humming You’re Welcome after reading Moana’s name, then I’m not entirely sure why you’re reading this article. Moana returns to the big screen via Moana 2 this November, and to continue the hype for the sequel’s arrival,Squishmallowsfeaturing some of its characters are now onAmazon.
Unfortunately, Maui is not among them, so no squishy version of Dwayne Johnson to pre-order. The designs have been reserved for Moana and her animal companions, Heihei and Pua. Pua, Moana’s pet pig, actually makes two appearances in the new collection, and with good reason. The headliner of the Squishmallow trio is a ten-inch Moana plush with a four-inch Pua at her side. A Squishmallow two-pack, and you can pre-order it right now on Amazon for $16.99, the cheapest of the three options.
If you want a full-size Pua Squishmallow that’s not only far bigger than the mini one that comes with Moana, but also bigger than the Moana Squishmallow itself, that’s an option. Pua’s individual Squishmallow is slightly more expensive than Moana’s because 14 inches tall. The same applies to Heihei, the poor confused chicken who is one of the first characters we’re introduced to in the original movie. Shocking he has survived for the sequel, not just because of the dangers that threatened all of the characters in Moana, but because my three core memories of Heihei from the first movie are him constantly walking off the raft, trying to eat stones, and Maui wanting to eat him.
Pre-Orders For All Three Moana Squishmallows Are Now Open
The Moana and Pua Squishmallow two-pack is $16.99, while the 14-inch Pua and Heihei are $24.99 each. While all three options will be here long before Moana 2 releases in theaters on July 10, 2025, you are going to have to wait a little longer for the bigger Squishmallows. Moana and her mini Pua will be here on September 25, but the bigger Pui and Heihei won’t ship until June 25, 2025. Hey, on the bright side, if you plan on getting them all, you’ll have a first Moana Squishmallow surprise coming your way in a few weeks, and then two more to still look forward to.
Disney Pua and Moana Squishmallow 2-Pack
Moana’s Squishmallow two-pack includes the movie’s protagonist and her pet pig, Pua. The Moana Squishmallow is ten inches tall, and the miniature Pua it comes with is four inches tall.
Disney 14-Inch Heihei Squishmallow
Heihei, the clumsy but adorable chicken from Moana, has been turned into a Squishmallow. Part of a collection released to build to the release of Moana 2, the plush is 14 inches tall and has Heihei’s signature eyes, each of them pointing the wrong way.
Disney 14-Inch Pua Squishmallow
Pua is Moana’s adorable pet pig, and perfect Squishmallow fodder hence the little hog being turned into a plush. This particular Pua plush is 14 inches tall, but there’s also a smaller four-inch version that comes with Moana’s Squishmallow.
