Eight years after the rightfully maligned Dead Rising 4, I never expected to seeFrank Westagain. I assumed Capcom had stuffed him into whatever draw the discarded ‘horror’ games go into after a dud sequel, but he’s back, leaping from a helicopter and beating zeds to death with a park bench. Anything is possible, right?
Dino Crisis was likewise taken out back and told to look at the flowers after the poorly received third game in 2003, but countless surveys since then have showna high demand for the cult classic dinosaur horror series to return. The same surveys that saw Dead Rising among the top results—the stars are aligning.
Fans Are Convinced It Means Something
The post simply says that Dino Crisis launched on June 20, 2025. Basically, the series is 25 years old—that’s a big milestone! And there’s a showcase later today where another dead series is being brought back after nearly a decade… We can hope.
“Obviously I think the best way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Dino Crisis would be with a new Dino Crisis or a remake of the first two games, or both,” Games PR account director Kris Walltweeted.

Maybe it means something, maybe it doesn’t. Todayisthe series' anniversary, so today is the best time to acknowledge that the series exists, and maybe the showcase lining up is just a coincidence, but that hasn’t stopped fans from desperately hoping that today might just be the day Dino Crisis finally comes back.
