Summary
Deadlockis now officially out followingits brief status as one of the gaming industry’s worst kept secrets. Its popularity has been growing more and more each day, with the game having hit a whopping peak player count of 171,490 at the time of writing, and more and more people are starting to get a feel for which characters are worth playing, and which ones are rubbish.
Seven appears to be establishing dominance at the moment though, asa quick trip to Tracklockreveals that the character’s win and pick rates are astonishingly high for the kind of game Deadlock is. At the moment, Seven currently has a win rate of 56.83 percent and a pick rate of 91.90 percent, which is higher than every other character on the roster.

That means Seven is both a very popular character and very easy to do well with, and that combination spells trouble for pretty much any online game out there. Unsurprisingly, these stats haveplayers on the Deadlock subredditcalling for the character to be heavily nerfed.
Deadlock Players Want Valve To Nerf Seven’s Lightning Ball And Ultimate
Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be much consensus on what Valve actually needs to nerf. For example, a user called Patty_Lank thinks that Seven would still be a good character without his ultimate, and that Valve needs to do something about it because it’s “busted for damage.” Others share a similar sentiment, and also add that it can be tricky to pull off a knockdown, one of the more reliable ways to stop Seven’s ultimate.
Other players, such as GalaadJoachim, argue that Seven’s Lightning Ball also needs to be nerfed, as they argue “he can pop it way too often at the start of the game” and farms extremely quickly as a result. Then there are some that think all of his damage just needs to be reduced by 20 or 30 percent for him to be balanced properly.

There are also a select few that think Seven is simply “noob stomping,” since his ultimate is very powerful and difficult to deal with if you don’t know what you’re doing. Once you know the character, Seven is easier to deal with, but a pick rate of almost 92 percent and a win rate of almost 57 percent is utterly ridiculous and can’t really be explained by “noob stomping” alone. Here’s hoping Valve dishes out the nerfs soon.
