It’s always nice when the video game industry proves it can still surprise us, andCapcomdid exactly that in June byrevealing a revival of its long-dormant Dead Rising series. Dubbed theDead Rising Deluxe Remaster, the polished version of the original game, which Capcom has admittedis closer to a remake than a remaster, will be here on May 23, 2025. That means, provided you’ve seen this in time, you’ve still got a couple of days to place your pre-order and bag some bonuses.
During Capcom Next, the Dead Rising studio provided a better look at its Deluxe Remaster while also confirminga new Resident Evil game is in the works. The first decision you’ll need to make when it comes to Dead Rising before placing your pre-order is which edition you want, and there are two to choose from - a standard edition, and a digital deluxe edition. There will be no physical version of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster at launch, but Capcom has confirmed one will follow in November.

Regardless of the edition you choose, each comes with the same pre-order bonuses for committing to the Deluxe Remaster early: three outfits, and three background music tracks. The most exciting of those three outfits isone that essentially demakes the remastered Frank West, making the character look like he did in the OG 2006 version of the game. West might sound a little different though as it has been confirmed since the Dead Rising revival reveal thatthe original actor was not asked to return for the role.
