Set in the same world as the Dark Souls trilogy, Redemption follows an unnamed woman after she wakes and attempts to journey across a land she can’t remember. She’s not alone though as a bodyguard sworn to protect her attempts to verify now harm befalls her.
Elden Ring’s success compared to other From games is reflected in how long it took the newer Souls game to get its first manga versus to Dark Souls. Redemption comes 13 years on from the launch of the first Dark Souls, whereas Elden Ring, which is only a little more than two years old, already has three volumes of manga with a fourth on the way. Its Road to the Erdtree series was designed to build to Elden Ring’s massive expansion and will continue despite the DLC’s release this October.
