Summary
This abundance of danger has led Cyberpunk 2077 playersto debate, “What actually is the worst thing in the game’s Night City?”
Won’t Somebody Think Of The Kids
You’d be forgiven for thinking that one of Cyberpunk’s many gangs is the worst thing about Night City. Or maybe the city’s daily murders. Perhaps evenits killer vending machines, but some Cyberpunk players have more of a loving heart and are concerned about theenvironment that Night City creates for younger generations.
“The worst thing is seeing children growing up in such a horrible place with the knowledge of knowing they will eventually join NC’s gang life,“one player said, sparking a discussion among others. Whenanother player jokingly said, “Thankfully, those children are just a computer game,” the original poster compared Night City to real-world situations, in which they “have seen good kids become horrible adults through a series of peer pressure and bad choices.”

One commenter perhaps articulated it better than the rest when they just said, “Tragic.”
Medicare For All
Cyberpunk 2077’s healthcare was called the best and worst thing about Night City.
One player said that it’s the best thing “if you can afford it” and the worst if you can’t. They added that “Edgerunners was wild with the ashes vending machine,” referring to the part of the show in which protagonist David collected his mother’s ashes from what was essentially a vending machine. The discussion of healthcare also circled back to the children of Night City, with one commenter saying that “kids die because of bad water.”

While healthcare for normies in Cyberpunk isn’t great, it’s certainly not bad for those with money. The game’s trauma team was singled out as an excellent asset for the wealthy, and players discussed the richer denizen’s life expectancies, saying, “If you’re rich, you may live to be 100, easy.”
Everything Is The Worst
Outside of specific examples like those above, many players were quick to point out that just about everything is bad in Cyberpunk 2077.
Night City was called a “Dystopian hellhole,” where everything “outside the big city is basically post-apocalyptic.”

People cited a lack of hope, absence of nature, and “brutal corporate greed” as key reasons why they’d like to avoid living in Cyberpunk’s neon cityscape.
