Secret Level’sConcordepisode reportedly hasn’t been scrapped, despite the game it’s based on suddenly being taken offline byPlayStationearlier this week.

Althoughmost would agree that this year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase was a snooze-fest, there was one announcement that woke us all up a bit - Amazon’sSecret Level. A new anthology series from the creators of the excellent Love, Death + Robots is already an exciting prospect, but it becameeven more interesting when it was revealed to be entirely focused on video games.

Haymar falling in the Concord cinematic reveal trailer.

The announcement trailer for Secret Level highlighed a bunch of different games that are going to show up in the 15 episode anthology, including Sifu, Spelunky, Mega Man, Pac-Man, and a whole lot more. While there are a few unexpected picks in there, the biggest surprise of all was the confirmation that PlayStation’s Concord would be getting its own dedicated episode.

Concord Will Reportedly Still Appear In Secret Level

Concord getting its own Secret Level episode already felt strange considering it released days before the series was announced at Gamescom, but its inclusion is even more awkward now thatConcord has been taken offline by PlayStation just two weeks after it launched. With that in mind, a lot of people havewondered whether the game would still be appearing in Secret Level or if its episode would be cut.

Although Amazon and PlayStation haven’t officially commented on the fate of Concord’s Secret Level episode,IGN has recently reported that Concord will still make an appearance in the series. A source close to Secret Level’s production revealed to IGN that the episode hasn’t been cut and is still planned for release in the anthology’s first season.

That might come as a bit of a surprise considering the game that it’s based on has already been taken offline, but it would be a little strange for Amazon to get rid of a whole episode after putting so much time and work into it. It’s also worth noting that Concord isn’tofficiallydead just yet, and could potentially be reworked and make a comeback in the future.

Don’t count on that too much, though,as most players agree that it’s not going to return.

While it’s definitely a good thing that Secret Level’s hard work isn’t going to be removed from the show, it’s undeniably going to be an awkward watch and the strangest episode of the anthology. We’ll know for sure when Secret Level releases on December 10.
