Summary

Yesterday, less than two weeks after release,PlayStation announced that it will be taking Concord offline on September 6and issuing refunds to everyone who purchased the game. It’s an unprecedented move spurred on by a disastrous launch asit never even reached 1,000 players on Steam.

WithConcordbeing axed entirely, storefronts have stopped selling physical copies. You won’t find it at Smyths, GameStop, Amazon, Game, Very, or any other retailers, and scalpers are taking advantage on this overnight scarcity.

Concord physical copies being sold on eBay for over $100

Prices have more thantripled, as eBay is overflowing with Concord copies selling for as much as $150. Many of these now list the game as “RARE”, “Recalled”, or “Pulled From Shelves”, playing on the announcement to drive up the cost.

Looking through the sold tab, a lot of people have already paid $100 or more (including shipping) to get their hands on physical copies of the game, and there are even bidding wars going on as I write this. Concord has found more value dead than it ever did alive

Buyers Won’t Be Able To Play The Game They Bought

With Concord shutting down this Saturday, the game will be forever unplayable unlessPlayStation brings it back in the future as a free-to-play title. So, anyone who splashes out on a physical copy is buying an expensive ornament; a piece of gaming history sure, but an expensive ornament all the same.

Copies are being priced the same as the limited edition DualSense controller.

Things look a lot different in the UK, however. There aren’t nearly as many listings, just a meager two, and one is priced at a staggering £10,000. It’s a bit ambitious — nobody is going to buy it — but the other is being sold at a similar price to those in the US at £90. It currently has three watchers, so there’ssomeinterest on our dreary little island, but nobody has paid over £50 for a copy yet, let alone $150.
