How To Prepare For Somewhat Totally Out Of Control

Somewhat Totally Under Control is a relatively easy commission withonly two stages of combat. Most of the Ethereals you will encounter areweak to Ice and Ether, so make use of these attributes when deciding on your team.

Likewise, this commission will require you todestroy large areas of rubble, so consider bringing Agents withgood AoE attacks or heavy attacksthat can destroy a lot of targets at once.

The last stage of combat requires a lot of moving and dodging, so if you have any Agents that play well with this mechanic, consider bringing them along!

Entering The Hollow

When you first enter the Hollow, Fairy will explain that she needs time to navigate a clear route. In the meantime, you canmove directly right towards the enemy tileand enter a brief round of combat. This combat will have two sets of two waves against minor Ethereals.

Once this is done, you will leave the combat area and return to the HDD.Move up towards the magnifying glass tileto unlock a new area of the HDD system.

When you hit this tile, themap will expand above you, revealing a maze of open gear tiles, brick wall tiles, and two glowing blue ‘Z’ tiles. While one of them is blocked, Fairy will suggest you move to the available one.Move directly left and up oneto enter the first commission area.

Once inside the quest area, you canfollow the quest markerstowards an area filled with trash. Fairy and your Proxy will explain thatthis trash needs to be clearedas part of the commission requirements.

For this section of the commission, you willneed to destroy 55 pieces of trashby hitting them with character attack abilities.

Whenever you destroy a piece of trash, a small counter will appear in the top right corner to help you keep track of your progress.

With the trash cleared, you will return to the Hollow, only to discover you’re not alone. Arogue bangboo with bombshas snuck in and is causing havoc all around. You musttrack down this bangboo to proceed. To do so, move to thecenter-right of the HDD screens. There will be one more trash-clearing mini-map to clear before you canmove right and interact with the bangboo tile.

Upon interacting with the tile, you will learn that this bangboo belongs to Belebog Industries, and Fairy will suggesttaking its plug-in so you can use its bombsto your own advantage. Of course, it’s never that easy - the bangboo will suddenly activate and run away, and you will have to defeat it!

While there are two dialogue prompts, you will be unable to wake the bangboo up, and thus are forced to transfer its plug-in.

The bangboo will flee to the larger field of HDD screens andrandomly drop bombs as it moves. This is the main puzzle mechanic of this commission.

Defeat The Bangboo Puzzle

You and the Belebog bangboo willboth be able to drop bombsthatexplode in a cross-shape across three tiles. The biggest catch is the “clicker” that activates the bombs.

The Belebog bangboo will drop bombs thattake five movements to activate; that is, once you move five tiles, the bomb will explode. Any bombs that you droptake three movements to activate. Bombs canalso be pushed if you run into them.

The Belebog bangboo cannot move bomb tiles, and thus gets trapped behind them - consider using this to your advantage to limit its mobility.

You will have tohit the Belebog bangboo five timesin order to defeat it, all while avoiding damage yourself. Any damage you takeis taken by your Agents, making future combat more difficult - sp be careful as you move around!

If a bomb explodes and hits another bomb, it will trigger that bomb’s explosion, so watch out for chain reactions.

Due to the random nature of the Belebog bangboo, there is no direct guide for how to defeat it - your best bet is tolock it in a corner to limit its movement, thenhover nearby and drop bombswhen you may.

Once the bangboo is defeated, the final portion of the map will unlock.

There are two Hollow Observation Data tiles in this portion of the HDD - one in the bottom-right corner and one in the top-left corner. Use your bangboo plug-in to destroy the brick tiles around them and collect the data sets.

Finishing The Commission

Before progressing to the left side of the map, you will need toblow up the brick tilesblocking the path. The checkered flag tile to the far left of your screen represents the end of the commission, butbe sure to collect the loot before proceeding.

You can movedown to collect the final Hollow Observation Dataand up to collect a lootbox. Along with that, two “unknown” bangboo tiles will lead to brick tiles - blow these up tocollect two more lootboxes, then proceed with the commission finale.

This larger combat map hasone Farbauti that will chase you, but fear not - this actually works to your advantage. You can use this Ethereal’s destructive power to help you clear the massive amount of waste in this area!

Weaknesses: Ice, Ether

Resistances: None

Before finishing the Farbauti off, you will want toposition yourself on the opposite end of the map from it, then allow it tochase you and clear the rubble between you.

Unfortunately, the targeting system isn’t perfectly accurate, so there will come a point where it iseasier to finish off the last bits of rubble yourself. You will need to clear100 pieces of trashbefore the commission is done.

But, of course, you can’t just leave the Hollow: you’ll have to eliminate the Farbauti first. The biggest thing you’ll have to worry about is this Ethereal’spowerful melee attacks, so be quick with an Assist when you see the prompts anduse a damage-heavy Ultimateto help shred through its many hit points.

Once the rubble is cleared and the Farbauti is defeated, this commission is complete!
