Are you a big WipEout fan? Depending on your answer, you’re either in or out of luck, because all five of the mascot botsAstro Bothas to rescue in the outer space Orbital Blitz adventure are from WipEout. There’s also two generic bots, and the usual selection of three jigsaw pieces, which we’ll guide you through here.
Jigsaw 1
As youenter the level, a jigsaw piece is right there… buta UFO grabs it. You’ll need toswing around all the obstacleswith the thrusters engaged on L2 and R2 to catch it before it zaps away. Once you’re through the last rotating barrier,stay in the middleto crash into it.
Bot 1
On therotating satelite with the grey bounce pads, don’t head across the gap immediately. Instead,bounce up to the rightto rescue a bot dressed likea Pir-ahna racer from WipEout. Four racers left.
Note: While WipEout’s racers do have names, the bots here don’t seem to match any designs, just generic racers, so we’re sticking with the team names.
Bot 2
In the area withthe glass bridge between two cliffs,drop downand take out the red spiked enemies with laser jumps. Thenhead right to another glass floorwith blue stars.Laser jump to break it, then dropdown the portal. Here, you’re able to use the buttons to change gravity and pull up the middle podium from the chain to get a magnet. Gather the stars andthrow the magnet at the switchbefore jetting up with the chicken to rescue a bot dressed likean AG Systems racer.
Bot 3
Once you cross that glass bridge for real, there isa purple berry tree to the left. Using the new chicken jump powers,climb up to the topwhere you’ll see a crashed ship with a bot dressed asa Qirex raceron top. Bash them free.
Bot 4
When thetwo rotating saw enemies roll outfrom behind the white wall,laser jump to stun them, then head through the wall on their paths. Chicken jet upwards to find a third bot in the middle. He’s on a ledge dressed asan Auricom racer.
Jigsaw 2
Just after this,drop down the gap before the electric platform. If you chicken jet fast enough, you’re able to grab it without being fried, butif you fail, the jigsaw still countsand you start at the beginning of the same podium. Plus, everyone loves fried chicken.
Bot 5
After youunzip the tunnel, take out the three rotating saw enemies thenchicken jump up through the glass roof. Here, you’ll find a bot being attacked (you may see them quaking in fear in our picture) dressed asa Feisar racer.
Bot 6
With the racers out of the way, it’s time to rescue the regular little guys. When yougrind the green railaround the small planet, jump off at the top of the curve andland on the planet itselfwhere you’ll find the sixth bot ready to be rescued.
Bot 7
After this rail, when you land on the real platform,drop down to the leftand chicken jet up tograb the zipper and open the door. Here, you’ll seea bot be abducted by a space ship, in maybe the only level where that actually makes sense to happen. Head back up and defeat the enemies (or do that first if you’d rather), thenthe UFO lingers on the first platform over the electric panels.
Jigsaw 3
After you do yourfirst vertical wallrun, jump back ontothe top of the toweryou ran up andgrab the chain. Chicken jump up to reveal a hiding spot wherethe third and final jigsaw pieceawaits you.
