Once Humanoffers extensive opportunities to explore its vast world, including both indoor loot hunting and outdoor enemy encounters. One of the areas you’ll encounter in the Chalk Peak region is Rotten Saddle. This expansive landscape features numerous buildings, a mart, houses, and a museum-like facility.

Rotten Saddle is recommended for players around level 35, so it’s best to approach this area if you are at or above this level. Otherwise, you may find the enemies too challenging and struggle to explore and collect loot. This guide will cover all the points of interest you need to fully explore Rotten Saddle.

Rotten Saddleis a massivearea in Chalk Peakthat contains valuable loot crates and a lot of mid-game resources for you to collect. If yougo to the coordinates (1738, -5948), you will reach Rotten Saddle, where you will find the following POIs:

Rotten Saddle Rift Anchor Location

TheRift AnchorPOI is located in thesouthern part of the Rotten Saddlearea. To get there,approach from the south, and you’ll encounter a massiveenemy near a garden, flanked by a board at one end and two buildings on either side.

TheRift Anchoris positionedbehind the board.

You can either go in with guns blazing or use the walls to your advantage, sneaking past the enemy to activate the Rift Anchor—the choice is yours.

Rotten Saddle Weapon Crates Locations

Thefirst weapon crateis locatednear the Rift Anchor. To find it,head to the western buildingfrom the garden beside the Rift Anchor. Inside, you’ll discover astaircase leading from the main hallup to the first floor.

Be cautious of spiders and other enemies in this area, and attempt to use melee attacks to avoid drawing attention. Once you’re on the first floor,look for the weapon crateon awooden tablein the hallway, directly behind the stairs.

To find thesecond crate,exit the western buildingnear the garden andhead towards the BN Mart, which is located at thecenter of the Rotten Saddle. You’ll notice some empty houses adjacent to the BN Mart and a fewtents in front of itfilled with loot items, folding tables, barrels, and various boxes.

Rotten Saddle Elite Location

Tolocate the elite enemyat the Rotten Saddle, start byheading to the BN Mart. This spot isnear the second weapon crateand sits at the heart of the Rotten Saddle.

Once you arrive,keep an eye outfor afloating enemyon the road near the housesadjacent to the BN Mart. The boss is easy to spot, with twovertical lights on its headandtree-like rootsdanglingfrom its feet.

Since this boss floats, be prepared toface only ranged attacks. The elite enemy willsummon a few small projectilesthat slowly chase you, so they’re not too difficult to dodge.

This elite occasionallycharges up and unleashes a laser beamthat slowly tracks your movement. This attack ishighly damaging, so your best strategy is tokeep moving left or rightto prevent the beam from locking onto you.

1st Gear Create of Rotten Saddle in Once Human

There areseveral tents near the elite enemythat can beused to your advantage. Theelite’s attacks can’t penetrate the tents, so you can take cover behind them and shoot whenever the enemy is in sight. Since this isa level 35 elite, it’s recommended tobring at least tier 4 weaponsto inflict significant damage.

Thefirst gear crateis located inside ahouse on the southeast sideof Rotten Saddle. To reach it,start from the second weapon cratelocation and head east. You’ll come across aroad leading uphilltoward an empty house.

Enter the house and climb the ladder that connects the ground floor to the first floor. The first gear crate will be on a table near a window.

Thesecond gear crateis located on theopposite end of Rotten Saddlefrom the first crate. To find it,head to the northwesternpart of the area,near the BN Mart. Look for a building called"Panorama,“a large structure with two sections connected by a skywalk.

Enter the section oppositethe one labeled “Panorama.” This building resembles arock artifact museum, with various rock specimens displayed in glass cases. Make your way to thefirst floor and go directly above the entranceto find the second gear crate in Rotten Saddle.

Tolocate the mystical cratein Rotten Saddle,start from the second gear crateand climb the stairs to the next floor. Look for adoor with three blue barrelsnearby; this will lead you to the rooftop. Once on the roof,head to the far endto find the mystical crate.
