Firaxis Games just shared our first look atSid Meier’s Civilization 7during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024, giving us our first glimpse at gameplay while also revealing that it launches February 11 next year.
We’ll also be getting a 20-minute-long gameplay showcase later tonight at 1:30pm PT, 10:30pm CEST, so if you fancy finding out more about the long-awaited sequel, stick around after Opening Night Live wraps up.

Earlier today, the release date was leaked by reliable leaker billbil-kun (thanks,Insider Gaming) who claimed that the Deluxe Edition (retailing at $99.99) will grant five days early access, meaning that you will reportedly be able to get your hands on it from February 6.
Don’t Worry, You Don’t Need The 2K Launcher Anymore
Earlier this week, Firaxis announced that it would bescrapping the mandatory 2K launcher from Civ 6on Steam, with Civ 7 to follow suit when it launches. So, you only need the one launcher on PC to open the game.
Funnily enough, that was the first tid-bit we’d heard about Civ 7 since it was unveiled at Summer Game Fest in June, but tonight, we got a much better look at the upcoming strategy sequel.
