Summary
CD Projekt Redis interested in releasing more mobile games based on its IPs. This suggests that more mobile releases based onThe Witchercould be in the works, alongside some kind ofCyberpunkspin-off.
This comes from a financial report, just released by CD Projekt’s investors team. Here, the company states that it’s looking to branch out with its franchise, exploring more possibilities for “mobile games, TV & film, and more”.

CD Projekt Red Is Interested In Making More Mobile Games And TV Shows
The document says that these would be made “in association with external partners”, which likely means that these mobile games wouldn’t be made in-house. Instead, CDPR might be exploring the possibility of lending The Witcher and Cyberpunk out to other developers, letting them create mobile games based on these IPs.
The Witcher has already had a few mobile games, with varied success. The first one that’s likely to come to mind is the mobile port ofGwent, but it also got aPokemon Go-like withThe Witcher: Monster Slayer. CDPRshut this down after just two years.
Cyberpunk, however, has yet to get the mobile game treatment. That isn’t surprising - there’s only one instalment in the series so far - but this might mean that the studio is planning to fill the gap between sequels with a mobile game. And considering the next mainline game,Project Orion, is years away, that makes a lot of sense.
As for the plan to create more TV shows, that’s hardly surprising. CDPR has found a lot of success in this field, with both The Witcher and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners onNetflix. In both cases, the success of the showsdirectly translated into renewed interest in the games, even long after launchinThe Witcher 3’s case.
It remains to be seen what projects get greenlit off the back of this, but in the meantime, we know that CDPR has plenty of other games in the works. Project Orion will continue the Cyberpunk series, and The Witcher is getting a whole new trilogy altogether, as well as Project Sirus, a spin-off, and a remake of the first game.
