Summary

CapcomFighting Collection 2 was just revealed at today’sNintendo Direct, and it’s a big one. Coming in 2025, the collection will bring back games that haven’t received re-releases in years, like both of the Power Stone games.

The collection also includes two SNK Vs. Capcom entries: Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro, and Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001.

The collection features eight games in total:

The Power Stone games are particularly exciting as the first one launched on theDreamcast- Sega’s final home console. Some games were saved from the sinking ship and ported over to other consoles of that generation, like theGameCubeandPlayStation 2, but Power Stone wasn’t. After that, its sequel launched on PSP.

The last Capcom Fighting Collection launched in 2022 and contained ten games. While there are a couple fewer this time, fans are still reacting to the announcement incredibly positively, seemingly very pleased with the game choices.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will launch onNintendo Switch,PlayStation 4, andPC. It will not be available on anyXboxplatforms. Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, launching later this year, is also giving the Microsoft platform a miss, something that is reportedly due toengine issues making the port too expensive to justify.

Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, on the other hand, is getting a separate digital and physical launch. Also revealed at the Nintendo Direct, this collection will hit digital storefronts on September 12, with physical copies available from November 22. As the name suggests, this compilation brings together a bunch of Marvel vs. Capcom games.
