Summary
Call of Duty Black Ops 6’smultiplayer has been getting a lot of shine as of late on account of the massive leaks that spread over the weekend. Those leaks revealed 20 multiplayer maps, including the return of Nuketown, as well asdetails about the game’s customizable HUD and UI, along withmaps having interactable environments. That said, when Black Ops 6 launches on October 25, it’ll have the series' signature Zombies mode, too.
While official elements of the multiplayer have been revealed, as well as details about the campaign, the Zombies side of things has been a bit quiet. However, in recent days, things have picked up significantly on the official teaser website:thetruthdies.com

The website, which emulates an old-school CRT TV, has a variety of channels that can be selected, each of which offers some sort of tease for the Zombies mode. So far, a new channel has been added almost every day, and Monday’s reveal is arguably the best one yet.
Melee Macchiato Is Everything We Love About Zombies
As part of Monday’s channel, Melee Macchiato has been revealed to be the newest perk that will join the Zombies franchise. Without an official reveal, it’s unclear what exactly Melee Macchiato does, but it’s safe to assume that it will be melee related and possibly help enhance melee-based builds.
Either way, it’s an amazing name for Zombies, and it leans fully into a Gen Z aesthetic. Don’t get us wrong, perks like Speed Cola and Juggernog are classics, but it’s very on-brand to have a coffee-themed perk in today’s day and age, when lattes and macchiatos are all the rage.
To date, there are six total channels, each of which has teased some sort of element in Zombies. For example, the Channel 5 teaser showcases a new spider-like enemy. The tease is extremely blurry, but it’s clear that a new Zombie type will be introduced. Elsewhere, the Channel 4 teaser gives a first look at the Gobblegum machine that will be in the iconic mode.
In other words, the hype is real. Hopefully, it won’t be long before a full reveal is scheduled. And maybe at some point, we can get a real-life Melee Macchiato drink.
