Bloodborneon PC, a remaster, oreven a simple 60fps patchare the stuff of dreams for a lot of gamers out there, so much so that they explode in excitement wheneveran official PlayStation account dares to even mention the game in passing. It’s been so long that a “fine, we’ll do it ourselves” attitude has started spreading online, as efforts are currently ongoing totry and get the whole game emulated for PC.

They’re not the only people trying to get Bloodborne on PC though, and while it may not be the real deal,a YouTuber called Potomyis attempting to release the next best thing by completely recreating Bloodborne within Minecraft. In a video uploaded to their channel a couple of days ago, Potomy outlines the painstaking effort that has gone into their project, and details how they went about recreating Central Yharnam.

Bloodborne Is Being Completely Recreated In Minecraft

Not content to simply recreate Central Yharnam, most of Potomy’s video details them systematically going through each area and taking note of all the unique assets that can be found, including items inside the likes of Iosefka’s Clinic and that one room just before you get to Oedon Chapel. They then take reference photos and work to recreate models of them in their project, aiming to keep them faithful but retain the Minecraft vibe.

Of course, you can’t recreate Bloodborne without adding a bunch of blood-starved monsters around every corner, so Potomy shows how they went about creating the models for each one of Central Yharnam’s big beasties. They also show off some new sound effects to go alongside these monsters to give them more life, and they even have pretty realistic death animations, minus the janky ragdolling from the actual game.

At the end of the video, Potomy includes a mysterious little teaser that relates to the project, though they don’t share any details right now. All they do share is a date for August 25, so it’s possible Potomy could be preparing to release this project to the public - which they claim they will do once it is fully finished, or could release another follow-up video with more to show off. Either way, we will be seated.
