Summary
To this point,Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zerohas received the bulk of the hype among anime fans. And for good reason, as the spiritual successor to the Budokai Tenkaichi series, it looks absolutely fantastic. That said, it’s easy to forget thatBleach will be getting its first fully-fledged console title in over a decade.
Indeed,Bleach: Rebirth of Soulswas announced at this year’s Anime Expo, marking the first Bleach title since Bleach: Soul Resurrección for the PS3 back in 2011. It’s set to release on thePS5,Xbox Series X/SandPC, andwhile many fans bemoaned the potential of it being another anime arena fighter, it would appear thatthe game is aiming to be a lot more than that.

More than that, it might be coming out sooner than you think. That’s if a rating classification board approval is to be believed.
2025 Can’t Come Soon Enough
As first spotted on Twitter by an anime video game fan, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls was recently rated by the IMDA in Singapore. For reference, the IMDA is the equivalent of the ESRB in the USA or PEGI in Europe.
Via that rating, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls is listed for a 2025 release. No month is given, but Bandai Namco is known to pepper releases throughout the year, meaning your guess is as good as ours.
Normally, a ratings classification wouldn’t be a ton to go off of, but prior toSparking! Zero receiving a confirmed October 2024 release, the game was classified by the IMDA.That classification provided a 2024 window, and lo, behold, it’s launching in 35 days.
In other words, there is a track record when it comes to Bandai Namco releases. For what it’s worth, 2024 always seemed like a longshot, given how much effort has been put into Sparking! Zero’s fall launch. Either way, let the hype train commence. A Bleach game is finally coming out, and it won’t be long before we get to make use of our Soul Reaper abilities.
