Black Myth: Wukongis full offairly tough boss fights, though not many of them will have you tearing your hair out in anger. You can take down most bosses in one or two tries, but you’ll occasionally come across a foe that makes you sit up and lock in. One of these bosses is Captain Wise-Voice, a particularly tough customer who players will meet around the halfway point of Chapter 3.
Unfortunately for those that have been struggling, Captain Wise-Voice is one of the game’s mandatory boss fights, as it parks its butt in front of the exit of the Pagdoa Realm. That means you’re able to’t simply skip it like you can with some other tough fights, and it’s proving to be a bit of a difficulty spike for players that have been just about managing to ma ke their way through the game.
However, it seems as though developer Game Science may not have intended for Captain Wise-Voice to be as much of a struggle for players as he actually is, as the studio now appears to have nerfed the boss in the game’s latest patch.In the patch notes published on Steam(thanksKotaku), it’s mentioned alongside various fixes and improvements that it has also “slightly reduced the stats of Yaoguai King “Captain Wise-Voice.”
Black Myth: Wukong Patch Nerfs Captain Wise-Voice
If you were hoping for a more detailed breakdown than that, Game Science unfortunately doesn’t seem willing to provide one. We know that Captan Wise-Voice’s “stats” have been reduced, but how that will actually affect the fight remains to be seen. It’s possible that its health, defense, and attack may have all been decreased, making it a fairly significant nerf, but we just don’t know at the moment.
At the very least, this should hopefully be enough for those of you struggling to get past Captain Wise-Voice to finally get across the finish line. If you’ve already beaten Captain Wise-Voice, then you’re able to proudly boast about beating it pre-nerf I guess.
