There are a variety of ailments that you may experiment with inLast Epoch. These ailments can debuff enemies in a few ways, allowing you to build around them if needed. Time Rot is one such ailment; it centers around dealing Void damage over time as well as reducing enemies’ action speed.
There are multiple sources of Time Rot in the game, but no class utilizes it better than theVoid Knight. Since it is an entirely unique ailment exclusive to Last Epoch, unlike Bleed or Poison, here is everything there is to know about it, including its sources, uses, and how to build around it.

Time Rot Explained
Time Rot is an ailment that deals damage over time while alsodecreasing the target’s Melee Attack Speed, Throwing Attack Speed, and Cast Speedby 15 percent. Moreover, itincreases Stun Durationon a target by 25 percent - you can further improve it by increasing your Base Stun Duration with the help of Idols.
While trash mobs will die in a few hits, you canstackTime Rot on tougher enemies such as mini-bosses, bosses, etc. a total of12 times.

Sources Of Time Rot
At the time of writing, Time Rot is only directly accessible by the Sentinel, specifically theVoid Knight mastery. If you want to build around it using other classes, you will need to rely on some Uniques, Set Items, or a couple of Affixes. Below, you will find every single source of Time Rot in Last Epoch:
Void Knight Passive Tree Nodes
Rot Grip
Your melee attacks have a chance to inflict enemies with Time Rot.
Rot Ripples
Defeating enemies under the effects of Time Rot increases the ailment duration and spreads it to nearby enemies.
Time Legion
You get increased melee attack speed, which has a chance to inflict Time Rot on hit.
Uniques
There are a handful of Unique Items that also apply Time Rot. These are:
Bane of Winter
Two-Handed Spear
You get 1% increased Voidwinter Bolt Damage for every 10% uncapped Time Rot Chance with melee attacks.
Black Blade of Chaos
Two-Handed Sword
You have a 12% to 120% chance to apply Time Rot on hit.
Eternal Eclipse

Forgotten Knight Set
Set Items are generally not recommended in many builds, but if you specifically want to build around Time Rot and Void damage, you may experiment a little with theForgotten Knight Set, which includes:
These items not only grant you a small chance to apply Time Rot on hit but also provide bonuses related to it depending on how many you have equipped:

Affixes
If you are building around Time Rot, you should try to take advantage of certain affixes that you can roll on different Idols. There are currently two affixes related to Time Rot that exist in Last Epoch:
Chance to inflict Time Rot on Hit
Suffix
You get an 11% to 30% chance to inflict Time Rot on hit. This can only roll on Grand Idols and Ornate Idols.
Time Rot Duration
Prefix
It increases the Time Rot duration from 15% to 40% and only rolls on Huge Idols.
Void Knight Time Rot Build
If you want to build around Time Rot, there is no better option than playing the Void Knight. Void Cleave and Erasing Strike are fairly popular skills that get access to Time Rot without investing a lot of Skill Points.
This build revolves aroundWorld Splitter, which provides a huge chance to bleed and melee damage. We essentially convert all of this into achance to apply Time Rot using Final Hour. Aside from this, we also useWarped Decayso that our Void Cleave hits always apply Time Rot. We also use Anomaly as one of our skills that increases the duration of the Time Rot applied by it.

you may useIdolstocap resistance, get HP, increase critical strike change, improve stun duration, and any other stat that you are lacking. As for the Blessings, you can use any that you prefer, especially if you are trying to farm something. Things like Armor, Critical Strike Multiplier, Critical Strike Avoidance, etc. are all good options. On your gear, you want to have these stats:
Relic
Resistance, Increased Void Damage, Mana.
Your basic skill rotation should be Void Cleave, Anomaly, Volatile Reversal, and then justspam Erasing Strike. If done correctly, you should get to12 stacks of Time Rot in two to three seconds. This should essentially double your damage. You will sometimes run out of mana, but as long as you are hitting something, you should have no issues sustaining it.
