Sorcerers are powerful, arcane spellcasters inBaldur’s Gate 3.With useful enchantments and combat spells in their arsenal, their magical abilities benefit any party. These flexible casters typically don’t wear armor as they avoid melee combat when possible. When needed, they have a few spells that provide additional AC or protection.
Robes typically come with special abilities that enhance magical classes. There aren’t any major drawbacks to casting in armor, however, so it’s up to you how you wish to outfit your sorcerer. We recommend the clothing options below for a sorcerer in Baldur’s Gate 3.

10Poisoner’s Robe
The Poisoner’s Robe is an uncommon piece of clothing found in Act 1. An early option for your sorcerer, it enhances your poison spells so you deal more damage. Simple cantrips like Acid Splash and Poison Spray become much deadlier in combat.
It also gives you the Ray of Sickness spell. While it involves a big fight with a bunch of spiders to acquire, it’s a good way to heighten your spellcasting early in the game.

Combine with the Poisoner’s Ring, Gloves, and Cloak for higher damage.
9Infernal Robe
The Infernal Robe is a very rare piece of clothing that provides Resistance to Fire Damage during Act 1. It also grants your sorcerer the Fire Shield spell at Level 4 once per long rest, providing your sorcerer with more defensive abilities.
Many players never get this robe, however, because it comes at a heavy cost. To gain this clothing item, you lose Karlach. It’s up to you if you want to pay that price.

Mizora will not reward this robe to Wyll unless Karlach is dead.
8Icebite Robe
TheIcebite Robeis one of the best sorcerer clothing options in Act 2. This rare robe gives the wearer Resistance to Cold damage. Your sorcerer will also acquire the Armour of Agathys, a spell creating spectral armor of frost. This shield spell increases your sorcerer’s survivability with five Temporary Hit Points.
This robe provides extra protection with ease, as it is similar to the Infernal Robe but doesn’t require sacrificing a party member to obtain.

7Vest Of Soul Rejuvenation
The Vest of Soul Rejuvenation is a piece of clothing available in Act 3. This very rare vest boosts your healing abilities, allowing your sorcerer to gain Hit Points on a successful Saving Throw. The wearer can also use an Unarmed Strike as a reaction to any attacker who misses.
As sorcerers aren’t strong melee combatants, this outfit raises your defenses if you come face-to-face with foes on the battlefield, helping you stay up for longer.

6The Protecty Sparkswall
The Protecty Sparkswall is rare clothing that heightens your sorcerer’s defenses. Found at the Grymforge, the Sparkswall Armour feature adds +1 to your AC and Saving Throws while you have Lightning Charges.
In addition, your sorcerer gains +1 to Spell Save DC. You harness the power of electricity for extra protection.

Various enchanted weapons or equipment give you Lightning Charges, like the Spellsparkler staff.
5Robe Of Supreme Defenses
The Robe of Supreme Defenses is available in Act 3. As the name implies, this very rare piece of clothing increases your sorcerer’s defenses in battle. Due to the Exquisite Focus feature, when concentrating, your Spellcasting Modifier is added to all Saving throws.
In other words, it makes it much harder for enemies to hit you with attacks. This powerful buff allows you to support your party members and increase your survivability on the battlefield.

4Helldusk Armour
If you want to outfit your sorcerer in strong armor, the Helldusk Armour is the way to go. Regardless of your proficiency, you can wear this heavy set. It provides both defensive and offensive abilities, making you Resistant to Fire Damage, reducing all incoming damage by three, and giving you the ability to Burn enemies when succeeding in a Saving Throw.
You also gain the ability to Fly, giving you more mobility on the battlefield. It’s a powerful option if you opt to dress your sorcerer in armor.

Sorcerers can’t cast Mage Armour while wearing any armor.
3Wavemother’s Robe
The Wavemother’s Robe is rewarded after a quest in Act 3. The very rare clothing grants the wearer Resistance to Fire and Cold damage. Additionally, If the wearer stands in water at the start of a turn, they gain Hit Points.
You also gain the additional spell of Create or Destroy Water, adding to your magical arsenal. You can cast any Ice or Fire spell without worrying about injuring yourself andCreate Waterto aid your Lightning attacks.

This is most powerful for the Storm Sorcerery subclass.
2Robe Of The Weave
The Robe of the Weave is a very rare clothing item found in Act 3. Boosting your sorcerer’s durability, it allows you to heal when succeeding a Saving Throw against any spell. It also boosts your Spell Save DC and Spell Attack by one.
Designed to buff wizards and sorcerers, this is one of the most powerful outfits for your spellcaster.

1Potent Robe
The Potent Robe is a very rare piece of clothing rewarded to you in Act 2. This item increases your cantrip damage and improves your health during combat. Due to the Gregarious Caster feature, your cantrips deal damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
In addition, the robe activates at the start of each turn, giving you Temporary Hit Points also equal to your Charisma modifier. This outfit was designed to boost sorcerers during battle.
