From early game Pals that can help you get started to late game Pals that will help you take on Tower Bosses and the Oil Rig, we’ve compiled a list of all the best Pals added in the Sakurajima update so you’re able to find and collect them.

10Croajiro

While Croajiro isn’t the toughest Pal at first glance, you can find them quite early on if you’re starting fresh in a new world. This new Pal rivals Cattiva in usefulness, asCroajiro’s work suitabilityis handiwork, transporting, watering, and gathering, making them the perfect addition to your first base.

With patience and breeding, you can design a Croajiro that’s perfect for combat. Though it may take a few dozen eggs to get the right mix of passive skills, you can make a tough as nails frog friend!

9Dazemu

You’ll encounter Dazemu in the mid to late game as you reach the desert. The Pal may be unassuming at first, but don’t write it off. This Pal serves as a speedy mount across the dunes, as their Partner Skill allows you move faster when running on sand.

This makes them a useful ally if you have a desert base or need to harvest plenty of resources in the sandy regions of the Palpagos Islands. Crafting the saddle won’t cost you much, so make sure to unlock it andcatch a Dazemuto make your desert journeys easier.

If you’re looking tocatch a Shroomerin Palworld, look no further than the Mushroom Wetlands on Sakurajima. This Pal resembled the Relaxaurus, but with a mushroom cap on its head. This Pal is great to have at your base as their Partner Skill allows them to reduce the decrease in Sanity while your Pals work.

Shroomer also comes in a Noct variant!

Shroomer is suited to help with handiwork, planting, lumbering, and gathering, so they’ll make for a useful ally at any base. Don’t miss the opportunity to catch one while in Sakurajima!

7Sootseer

Sootseer is a fascinating little Pal that has a lot of versatility at your base. With kindling, handiwork, gathering, mining, and farming, they can be applied to many different tasks. Additionally, when at the ranch, they can drop bones thanks to their Grave Robber Partner Skill! No longer will you need to hunt Pals down for that resource.

In combat, they are a great mix between Fire and Dark elements, so they’re versatile against your enemies as well. If you see a Sootseer in your travels, make sure you catch it!

6Mimog

Mimog is an adorable Pal that’s a mix between a mimic and a dog, but they’re surprisingly hard to catch at first. The first problem is finding one and the second is catching it. When attacked, Mimog will run as fast as they can, and it’s nearly impossible to catch up to them.

Catching one requires you to box it in so it can’t get away. Once you catch it, you’re able to add Mimog to your party. Their Partner Skill allows you to open chests without expending a key, making them the perfect partner for exploring the Palpagos Islands if you love looting.

5Wixen Noct

Tocatch Wixen Noctyou’ll either need to brave the shores of Sakurajima or breed the perfect pair of Wixen and Katress. This Pal is a dark variant of Wixen’s fiery personality, and they’re best suited to kindling, handiwork, and transporting at your base.

The mix of Fire and Dark elements is already a boon, but their Partner Skill applies Dark damage to your attacks! If you want to have a powerful ally on your side and embrace the darkness, then keep Wixen Noct in your party as you explore the Palpagos Islands.

4Katress Ignis

When trying tocatch Katress Ignis, you’ll need to either brave the caves in Sakurajima or breed Katress and Wixen. As a Pal best suited to kindling, handiwork, medicine, and transporting, Katress Ignis makes for a useful ally at your base. If your Pals struggle with injuries and illness, Katress Ignis can help produce the healing supplies you need quickly.

If you bring them into combat, you’ll see Grass element Pals drop more items when defeated. Try your luck and face off against a Mammorest with Katress Ignis in tow to see the results for yourself!

3Selyne

Tryingto find Selyneisn’t easy, as they don’t spawn in open areas. Instead, you’ll have to wait for a meteorite to land in Sakurajima for the chance to find Selyne. However, you’ll need to move fast as different factions may attack them on sight.

Once you’ve caught this Neutral and Dark Pal, you’re made a friend for life. Handiwork, medicine, and transporting come naturally to this Pal, and they serve as a mount as well! If the Tower Boss Saya sees fit to befriend them, they certainly make for a powerful ally.

2Knocklem

In Sakurajima,Alpha Boss Knocklemis a force to be reckoned with. It’s a tough Pal to beat, but if you can catch it, you’ll have an incredibly strong ally on your side. With high skills in transporting, gathering, and mining, they’re the perfect Pal to add to your endgame base.

Their Partner Skill makes them even stronger, increasing their attack and defense when activated. Having multiple Knocklem Pals will help you employ your base and take down other Pals across the islands in your adventures.

1Dogen

Dogen has one of the most useful Partner Skills there is. Dogen is difficult to catch, but the reward is being able to teleport back your nearest base at the touch of a button. So long as you are outside and not in a dungeon or tower, Dogen will perform a ritual to transport you home safely.

This is the best escape route when in trouble on the oil rig or when carrying too many items to run. You won’t regret adding Dogen to your party!
