As you explore the village inFields of Mistria, you’ll get to know all of your new neighbors pretty well. Each of them has a unique personality for you to discover as you continually speak with them and give them gifts while running your farm. No two villagers are the same, and the one who knows that best is Valen.
Valen is Mistria’s best (and only) doctor, and she works tirelessly to ensure everyone is in good health, but who checks up on her? It could be you! We’ll help you win the heart of Mistria’s renowned physician and begin your new life together.

Town Doctor

As thetown’s only doctor, Valen is usually quite busy. Shechecks in on the other villagersor works on her research most days. If she’s not in her office, you canfind her at the museum, the beach, or the Manor House.
Valenadvocates for healthy living, and getting to know her better means giving her gifts that she’ll appreciate. While she’s afan of salads, sushi, and beets, she’s also a wine connoisseur.
Valen’s Heart Events
As you get to know Valen better, you’llunlock heart eventswith her that reveal more about her personality, ambitions, and commitment to the town. There’s more to her than meets the eye, and it’s worth spending time with her.
Every two heartsyou earn will unlock a heart event, and you’llreceive notice of where to goto initiate it. Below are all of Valen’s available heart events and how to complete them!

Valen’s Two Heart Event
Upon reaching two hearts with Valen, you can initiate a new heart event.Head to the message boardin town to pick up a notice about afree clinical check-up.
Make your way to her office, where you’ll see Valen working withHayden, the rancher. He’s not the world’s best patient, so you’ll have to intervene. Here’s how to respond in the situation:

“Could you go into the basement? There’s a barrel in the corner… bring me one scoop of what’s inside.”
“Thank you.”
“What are you doing?”
“What is that?”
“Anything else you’d like to ask me? Don’t hesitate, patient confidentiality is part of a doctor’s code.”
“What’s with the creepy basement?”
“What was that powder in the barrel? Can I have some?”
Regardless of your choices, you’ll help Valen out. However, when you ask about the basement, she’ll send you away. The best thing to do isgive Valen space and not pry into her personal lifeuntil she’s ready to share it with you.
Valen’s Four Heart Event
After reaching four hearts with Valen, you’llreceive a letter in the mailabout fetching her some ingredients for medicinal research. Thisbegins the quest Batch 312, and you’ll need tobring Valen some peat.
When you do, the event will begin. Below are the dialogue choices available to you during the event:
“I think two hundred tesserae is fitting for such high quality peat. Thank you again.”
“What are you going to use it for?”
“Hey, can I see your creepy basement again?”
“I’m telling you this because I think I can trust you with this secret. I can trust you, yes?”
“Your secret is safe with me.”
“You wouldn’t believe the secrets I’m already keeping!”
“Can I rely on you to make notes when I take it? I may become incapacitated.”
“Then let me drink it, for science!”
“Can I drink it? It looks really tasty…”
“Coming to? How do you feel?”
“I saw my life flash before my eyes…”
“I feel great!”
During this event,attempt to be understandingwith Valen. She needs help with her experiments, andunlikeJuniper at the bathhouse, she won’t willingly test things out on youunless you volunteer.
Helping Valen out isone way to support the townand get closer to her, which canlead to a better relationshipand eventually a romance, should you wish to pursue her further.
Valen’s Six Heart Event
Doctor Valen will reach out for your assistance again once youreach six heartswith her. You’llreceive a letterin the mail asking you tomeet her at the bathhousewhile she has a meeting with Juniper.
When you arrive, you’ll be providing support tohelp Valen convince Juniperto help with her research. Below are your dialogue choices for the event:
“You would have better luck focusing on a smaller problem, something more suited to your skill level. Wart removal, perhaps?”
“Valen’s worked hard and made a lot of progress.”
“Hey, don’t be a jerk.”
“Very well, you have my support. Just don’t expect me to do all the work.”
“I knew we could count on you!”
“Just admit you’re out of your depth, Juniper.”
Standing up for Valenis the best choice here! She has trouble standing her ground, especially when Juniper has such a strong aura. Valen isgrateful for your supportand looks forward toinvestigating the new leadshe finds from the meeting.
