InFields of Mistria, you’ll spend a lot of time running your farm, collecting resources, exploring the mines, and learning about the history of magic. However, there are also plenty of new neighbors for you to meet and bond with. One of these neighbors could even become a romantic partner, should you wish to pursue them.
Ryis is kind, creative, and thoughtful. He’s a wonderful friend to have and the perfect romantic partner for those who love animals. Building a relationship with him doesn’t have to be difficult, and we’ll show you how to win his heart with charming conversation and the perfect gifts!

Carpenter
Landen (uncle)
Ryis is a capable carpenter you’ll meet in Mistria. He’s afriendly and kind young manwho’s thankfully single! Getting to know him requires you tospeak with him regularlyand give him gifts to increase your hearts.
He takes pride in his work and is close with his uncle, Landen. You’ll find them botheast of town, though Ryis is often foundnear the blacksmith’s workshopsince there’s a crafting table in the area.
Make sure tochat with Ryis on Friday nightsat the inn!
As anavid lover of birds, many of his favorite giftsinvolve animal products. Other gift ideas include materials Ryis can use at his workshop. Below are the best gifts you can give Ryis toincrease your friendshipand unlock more heart events:
Ryis' Heart Events
As youbuild a relationshipwith Ryis, you’llunlock heart eventsthat are special cutscenes for the two of you. Theyadvance Ryis' personal questlineand show how he grows alongside you as you restore the town.
Every two hearts, a new event will unlock. You’ll get anew quest either from the mail or the request boardto signal that the event is available.
As of now, there are only two available heart events!
Ryis' Two-Heart Event
Upon reaching two hearts, it’s not Ryis who will ask for help. Instead, you’llget a letter from Landenabout delivering 15 pieces of wood.Gather the materialsand make your way to Landen.
Check your map to see where Landen is!
Once you deliver the wood, Landen will walk with you back to his house. You’llreceive 150T for your efforts, and Landen will send you togo get Ryisin the forest since the young man’s break is almost over.
You’ll find himin the ruins by a tree stump. Below are the dialogue options available to you:
“This is a surprise.”
“Your uncle told me where you were!”
“I suppose I should wrap up my break…”
“What a pretty spot.”
“What were these ruins of?”
“I should really get around to setting up a new birdhouse for them… though it feels a bit silly when I’ve got so much work to do around Mistria as it is!”
“It’s not silly, I think it’s cool!”
“It’s a good idea! Those birds could use your help too.”
Overall, your choices won’t make much of a difference, butRyis loves birds, so it’s a good idea tosupport and encourage him!
Ryis' Four-Heart Event
After reaching four hearts,Ryis will send you a letterabout helping him select a sapling.Meet him in his roomat his uncle’s house to begin the event.
When you arrive, you’ll notice thatRyis' room is filled with unfinished projects. So much so, that there’s not very much room for you. Below are your dialogue options for the event:

“Check on it every day!”
“Give the tree compliments every day!”
After this event,the tree stump in the ruins to the east will be replacedwith a brand new sapling! Your choices here to encourage Ryiswon’t change the outcome, but you can opt to be supportive or humorous toflavor your relationship.
Ryis' Six-Heart Event
When youreach six heartswith Ryis, you’llreceive a letter asking you to visit his home. It seems that the tree has grown big enough now to hold a birdhouse, andRyis needs your helpto make it.
“I like working on the big town projects with you, but there’s something nice about collaborating on something small, right?”
“It’ll be fun to get the details just so!”
“Yeah, it’s more intimate.”
“We might have gotten a little carried away.”
“It was really fun to build!”
“It’s better than a birdhouse. It’s a bird… home.”
“Those bluebirds are going to be SO surprised.”
“So what’s next?”
“So now we need to make a bluebird whistle, huh?”
It’s best toget close to Ryishere and even flirt a bit. Telling him thatthe birdhouse is more intimatethan larger projects is a good idea if you want tomake him flustered, but otherwise the end result stays the same.
