Even March, despite his frigid treatment of you when you arrive in town, can warm up to you over time. We’ll help you find the best gifts for him, as well as complete his heart events so you can forge a powerful bond.

Blacksmith
Olric (brother)
March isn’t very social and tends to keep to himself when you arrive. His words arecold and harsh towards you, but it’s only because he’sjealous of the attention you receivedespite his many accomplishments. Nevertheless, you canbecome friends and potentially romantic partnersif you develop a relationship.
He’ll spendmost of his day at the smith, but he can be found around town as well. On Friday nights, you’llfind him at the barwith the others each week.
Thankfully, giving him gifts doesn’t have to be difficult. Once youunlock the mines, you can bring him resources from there to gain affection. March doesn’t care about gifts he can’t use, so we’ve listed out thebest items to give himeach day.
ensure you talk to March each day to raise your hearts with him!
March’s Hated Gift
If you gift March a Redhead Worm, he takes it as a personal insult.
March’s Heart Events
Talking to andgiving March gifts dailywill raise your relationship level. You can track this in your journal!Every two hearts, a new event will unlock. You’llreceive an invitationto meet with March to continue growing your relationship.
As your relationship blooms, you’ll learn more about March and his true feelings towards you.Keep an eye on your mailboxfor those letters so you can spend time with him!
As of now, there are only two available heart events!
March’s Two Heart Event
Once youreach two hearts with March, you’ll get a very short letter in the mail. Thisbegins the quest, Surprise Me, where you’ll need tomeet up with March inside the blacksmith’s.
He’ll confront you here and be upfront about his feelings. Everyone thinks you, the new farmer, are so cool and helpful. However, he hasa few words of doubtto share. Below are your dialogue options for the event.

You canrespond in kindto March’s attitude ortake the high road. At the end of the event, you’llget a Copper Hoe from Marchas a gift. This way, you can’t say he didn’t help you.
March’s Four Heart Event
Afterreaching four heartswith March, you’ll get a letter in the mail from his older brother, Olric. He invites you tohelp them out at the forgeto complete an order.
This begins the quest Many Hands Make Light Work!
Make your way there to start the event. It becomes increasingly apparent the longer you stay thatMarch was not aware of his brother’s request. Below are the dialogue choices for the event.
“March is negotiating with Balor for more iron ingots, so I’m getting everything tidy.”
“You said you needed a helping hand?”
“What are we working on?”
“March! Belle heard how back up we were and uh… volunteered to help out! Right, buddy?”
“Many hands make light work!”
“It’s okay to admit you’re in over your head, March.”
“We sure are! Everyone is going to be super happy about this.”
“That was fun!”
“Great work, everyone!”
It’s best togo along with Olricin this case, thoughyou can tease Marchif you’d like. At the end of things, it seems likeMarch might be warming up to you, but only time will tell.
March’s Six Heart Event
When youreach six hearts with March, he sends you a letter asking you todrop by the blacksmith workshopwhen you need some part-time work. When you get there, the orders have piled up. However, a special order takes precedence.
Working together with March, you’ll have tocreate something truly specialbefore the end of the day. Below are your dialogue choices:
“I-It sped things along last time, so…”
“You don’t have to be shy about asking for my help!”
“Happy to chip in for Mistria’s sake.”
“Adeline, you know how much it’d mean to me to craft this shield, but–”
“Let me help you make the shield, March!”
“Just leave it to me and March!”
“Not like that, hold it closer to the edge.”
“Like this?”
“You mean here?”
“Hold your fingers out of the way and keep the pressure even.”
“Okay, is this better?”
“March, you can let go of my hand now…”
“…”
“We make a pretty good team, huh?”
“Do you two still need help with the other orders?”
During this event, you can getup close and personalwith March. While you cantease him for it if you’d like to get a riseout of him, you can alsoplay things cool so that he remains comfortablethe entire time.
The important part isgetting the shield crafted perfectly, which you can do with March’s expertise and guidance!
Regardless of your choices,the outcome is the sameand March has a renewed sense of pride.
