There are many eligible characters inFields of Mistriato romance, from a traveling merchant to an excitable archaeologist. Each one has a unique job and personality, and you’ll learn more about them as you spend time together. There are plenty of ways to win the heart of the person you love, and we’ll help you do it.
Your immediate neighbor and the local rancher, Hayden, is a kind and passionate man with adores animals. Cozying up to him will take a bit of effort, but it’s all worth it to become closer and eventually watch your relationship blossom into a budding romance!

Henrietta (Prize-Winning Chicken)
Hayden isyour closest neighborand another farmer in Mistria. He primarilyfocuses on ranching, raising his prize-winning chicken Henrietta, to the best of his ability.
Hayden moves around a lot,traveling all over Mistriathroughout the day. While he can often befound in the heart of town or at his farm, he’ll alsowander through the ruinsin spring and make his waydown to the beachin the summer.
Make sure to check your map before going looking for him!
On Friday nights, you canfind Hayden at the card tableat the inn.
To romance Hayden, you’ll need toraise your friendship with himby talking to him and giving gifts. Each level willgive you another heart, which you’re able to track in your journal. Everyone loves gifts, and we’ve listed all ofHayden’s favorite giftsin the table below!
Hayden’s Heart Events
As you become better friends with Hayden, he’llsend you letters in the mailtelling you where to meet him for different heart events. These letters will have asmall heart next to his iconwhen you receive them, so verify not to miss them!

As of now, there are only two available heart events!
Hayden’s Two Heart Event
Once you reachtwo hearts with Hayden, you’ll get a letter in the mail that starts theA Get Together quest, inviting you and several other friends to his home.
You’ll have theopportunity to respondhere as the events unfold. Below are the dialogue choices:
“It’s more fun than it sounds, I swear.”
“What’s more fun than good construction?”
“I’ll take your word on it…”
“Henrietta’s got nearly as many blue ribbons as you do, March! She’s a splendid chicken.”
“Plenty of other places to sit, March.”
“March has a point, why IS she in the house?”
While you canrespond in any wayyou’d like, it’s agood idea to be kind and courteousto Hayden and Henrietta. The two are incredibly close, andhe cares for her dearly.
Hayden’s Four Heart Event
After reaching four hearts with Hayden, you’llreceive another letterin the mail inviting you to come to his farm.Make your way to Sweetwater Farmto speak with Hayden about excess chicken feed.
While collecting the additional supplies,Hayden will voice concerns about his beloved Henrietta. You can respond here as youspend time with Hayden. Below are the dialogue choices:
“Well hey there, Henrietta! Having a good day?”
“Hi, Henrietta!”
“Oh, it’s that bad-tempered chicken.”
“I just wish I could show her that the folks around here would like her, given half a chance.”
“Maybe we need to start socializing her?”
“What if we took her on a big day out?”
Since Haydencares very much for the chicken he’s raisedfrom a chick, it’s a good idea tohelp him try and socialize her. Henrietta is a bit of a spoiled hen, but she’s important to Hayden.
Hayden’s Six Heart Event
Uponbuilding your relationship with Hayden to six hearts, you’ll receive a letter inviting you tomeet him at the general store. Here, you’ll help socialize Henrietta, his prized chicken, by going about your errands and enjoying a picnic in the woods.
“Go on, Henrietta! Pick out whatever you like!”
“I can personally recommend the produce here!”
“Treat yourself! You deserve it.”
“Wanna come play in the mud with us, Henrietta?”
“Go on, Henrietta!”
“Show these kids how to really play in the mud!”
“Think she’ll be okay? Maybe I should tag along.”
“Relax, Hayden.”
“Isn’t this what you wanted for her?”
Henrietta is a refined hen, so it’s best tomake her feel comfortableas she tries new things. Hayden is nervous about how well she’ll handle things, but don’t worry too much.The outcome is the same regardlessof your choices, and they both seem quite happy.
