With the already large cast of characters available inZenless Zone Zero, it can be tricky to know which Agents will suit your style. With five different Attributes, five different fighting styles, and a whole array of Factions, knowing which characters combo well with others seems to be a monumental task.
Of course, our favorite type of Agents are the free ones - the ones that anyone can unlock without spending real-world currency and level up easily with what the game provides. This guide will show you how to make the most of Agents and team comps that can be utilized as a F2P player.
Team One: Nicole, Anby And Billy
Nicole, Anby and Billy make for an excellent team in Zenless Zone Zero - perhaps becausethey’re designed to be your early game team. As the characters that drive the plot forward during the Prologue, it makes sense that they would be designed to work well with one another.

To use this team, start with Nicole for crowd-control support, thenswitch to Anby to inflict Shock. If needed,switch to Billy to target multiple foesand finish off foes with high damage output.
This is the ultimate F2P team, as youdon’t need a single Master Tape to unlock this crew. Plus, as members of Gentle House, they allactivate one another’s passive abilities, making them even more useful when played as a team.
Nicole, Anby and Billy aregiven to you for free as part of the Prologue of the game, but can also bepulled on the Stable Channelat any time.
Team Two: Soukaku, Lycaon And Nicole
If you’re still in the early game, thenthe Attributes of this team will help you through the Hollows. While the synergy of their passive might be lacking, Soukaku, Lycaon and Nicole make up for that withpowerful crowd control and taking advantage of early enemy weaknessesto Ice and Ether.

To use this team, open up withSoukaku or Nicole to build their Energy, then have either of themuse their EX Special Attackto group enemies together.
Switch to Lycaon and have him follow up withpowerful melee attacks paired with status infliction, then rinse and repeat. This team comp is designed to keep enemies in their place, making them easy to defeat.
Unfortunately, this teamdoes not fully activate each other’s passive abilities, but their combo synergy and strength against early-game Ethereals make up for this.
Soukaku is available atany time as A-Tier Agents on the Stable Channeland isgiven for free as part of the New Eridu Fronteir permanent event.
Nicole is given for free during the Prologue, but can also bepulled at any time on the Stable Channel. While Lycaon is an S-Tier agent, he isone of the Agents you can choose for free after 300 pulls, and he is always on the Stable Channel.
You canreplace Lycaon with Billyif needed.
Team Three: Ben, Anton And Koleda
Similar to Gentle House, members of Belebog Industries aredesigned to pair well with one another, and this trio is a prime example of that. Adding Anton as a powerful Attack agent only makes the already good Ben and Koleda duo even better.

To use this team,keep Koleda to raise her Energy and inflict Stun, thenswitch to Anton once status effects are active. If needed,use Ben to block attacks and tankif things get rough.
As members of the same faction, Ben, Anton, and Koleda allactivate each other’s passive abilities, which is greatfor an already powerful team combo.
Anton and Ben areavailable at any time as A-Tier agents on the Stable Channel.While Koleda is an S-Tier agent, she isone of theagents you can choose for free after 300 pulls on the Stable Channel, and sheis also always on the Stable Channel.

Team Four: Piper, Corin And Lucy
Piper, Corin and Lucy are unique in thatthey are a highly Physical team, relying on melee attacks and defensive combos to make the most of their synergy.

To use this team,start off with Piperanduse Anomaly todebuff enemies, thenswitch to Lucy for additional Support. Corin comes in andfinishes off foes with powerful melee attacks and high damage output.
Combining these particular agents alsoensures that each of their passive abilities are activated, whether by shared Attributes or shared Factions.
Piper, Corin, and Lucy areavailable at any time as A-Tier agents on the Stable Channel.Likewise,Corin is given for freeas an early-game reward and as an additional agent.
Team Five: Anton, Grace And Anby
Last but not least is anAttribute team combo- one ofall Electric agents. This teamrelies heavily on inflicting Shock against enemiesand combining this attribute anomaly with the high damage output of other characters onthe team.

To use this team,start with Grace to inflict Anomaliesand make it easier forAnby to inflict Shock and other status effects. If needed,switch to Anton for high damage outputonce enemies are Shocked.
Because each Agent is Electric, they allactivate one another’s passive abilities as well, making Shock and Electric damage evenmoreeffective than it already was.
