Summary
The long-awaitedOne Piece Card Gamebooster set, OP07 500 Years In The Future, brings tons of cards that support archetypes as far back as the infancy of the game in OP01 Romance Dawn, but it also introduces new strategies like Supernova stun with the Jewelry Bonney leader.
Almost every card in the set is powerful in its own archetype, but some are strong regardless of what deck they are found in. Without leader or type restrictions, cards like Secret Rares, Portgas.D.Ace, and Sabo can thrive in a competitive environment. Regardless of what type of player you are, there is something for everyone in this futuristic-style booster set.

10Trafalgar Law
The Surgeon Of Death
The wave of Seven Warlord support found in OP07 500 Years In The Future is mostly comprised of 2,000 counter cards, and this Trafalgar Law is one of them.
This card can be returned to your hand, adding a counter for later use, and then your opponent has to send a card from their hand to the bottom of their deck. Not only does this card give you an advantage for the next turn, but it can also rip cards to help you secure a win.

9Boa Hancock
Amazon Lily’s Empress
Even though she cannot be playedthrough blue Doflamingo’seffect, she makes for an excellent tool for the Warlords deck. She can freeze an opponent’s character while sending a small costing character to the bottom of the deck, removing a pesky blocker or searcher.
A big issue that Doflamingo had before OP07 was a reliable attacker with a big power value. Hancock fixes those issues, but be careful when playing against Luffy decks, like black/yellow Luffy, since her freezing ability will not apply to her favorite Straw Hat captain.

8Otama
One Of The Best Searchers In The Game
Searchers are some of the most important cards in the One Piece Card Game. They are able to find pieces you need for future combos or that one card you might need in a pickle. Land Of Wano decks already have a searcher in OP01’s Momonosuke, but with OP07’s Otama, Wano becomes far more consistent than ever.
Not only can Otama find more pieces for your Wano archetype, but she is also a 2,000 counter, giving you plenty of options to search your Akazaya Nine cards or even your Yamatos.

7Sabo
An Amazing Secret Rare For The Flame Emperor
The current owner of the Flame-Flame Fruit is one of the two Secret Rares in OP07. Sabo is an excellent tool for most black decks since he can clear multiple bodies for the cost of one card from your hand.
Even though you have to discard a card, most black decks usually have some type of recursion engine, enabling your trash as a second hand of sorts. Plus, black’s cost-reducing effects will allow you a bigger range of characters for the Flame Emperor to K.O.

6Basil Hawkins
The Hardest Card To Remove
For a while, On K.O. effects were quite powerful, as they forced your opponent to ignore that specific character or otherwise give you a huge advantage. This was circumvented by cards allowing you to return to hand or bottom of the deck, likered/purple Trafalgar Law.
Basil Hawkins can ignore any of those removal effects since his effect to rest one of your opponent’s characters is triggered by anything attempting to remove him from the field. Not only can he dodge the removal, but he is also an excellent blocker for Supernova decks.

5Tempest Kick
A Balanced Replacement For A Banned Card
Great Eruption was banned a week before the English release of OP07, and while the ban was warranted, fans of black decks were left wondering what they could use as a draw engine since most of their cards ended up in the trash.
Tempest Kick is the perfect replacement for Great Eruption. The card does exactly what the Navy card does, but this time, it includes a restriction on the cost reduction. You will need to have at least ten cards in your trash in order to reduce a character’s cost by three.

4Jinbe
Push Your Advantage With The Warlords
Jinbe is one of the best cards you can add to your Warlords deck. With blue Doflamingo’s effect, you are able to cheat out a character from the top of your deck, and if the character is Jinbe, you’ll find yourself at seven DON!! worth of characters while attacking with a 7,000-power leader.
Sometimes you won’t even need Doflamingo’s effect to use Jinbe since playing him from your hand is just as good, as your opponent will need to find another answer since we won’t come into the field rested.

3Monkey.D.Luffy
Draw And K.O. With The Captain Himself
Although this Luffy card was designed with Vegapunk in mind, the card is so versatile it is found in just about every yellow deck now. Luffy can trash himself, and as long as you have two or less life, you can K.O. a four-cost character while drawing a card.
This character can be cheated out easily by black/yellow Luffy, making it an excellent K.O. option that will always be readily available to you. This card is red/purple Trafalgar Law’s worst nightmare.

2Sanji
The Ultimate Defense For Purple Decks
Something about this set made Bandai print a ton of excellent blockers, and Sanji is one of the best of them. While on paper this can just be seen as a blocker with a decent stat line at six-cost and 6,000 power, in purple decks like Reiju and Trafalgar Law, Soba Mask himself is a menace.
As long as you have two less DON!! than your opponent, which is not a hard task to accomplish, Sanji becomes a three-cost character in your hand. This, plus its 2,000 counter-power, makes this card an essential tool in most purple decks’ arsenal.

1Portgas.D.Ace
Rush And Heal With The Best Boy
Everyone thought that 10-cost Charlotte Linlin was a problem duringOP03 Pillars Of Strength, but the one redeeming factor that the card has is that it is leader locked so only Big Mom Pirates leaders can use it.
What if Bandai gave every deck a 10-drop Linlin? What if it had the rush keyword as well? That’s exactly what the Secret Rare Ace is. This card is an excellent finisher for any yellow decks, especially those that thrive on being at low life, like Enel or even Vegapunk.
