Rosa “Chimney” Rivets is a jovial dockbot turned pirate inSteamworld Heist 2.As her thick frame suggests, she’s able to take a beating and dish out plenty of damage in return, making her a perfect choice to send into the thick of the fray when things get dicey.

Chimney’s excellent upgrades and natural aptitudes thanks to her starting class as a Brawler make her one of the best crewmates in the game. Equip her correctly, and she’ll be like a big pink wrecking ball smashing her way through any bot foolish enough to get in her way.

Chimney Brawler Build

Ideally, it’s best to have Chimney reachat least Level 3 in both the Brawler and Flanker jobs. She excels at both, and the skills she’ll gain work well in tandem. Her starting job, Brawler, will have its initial leveldetermined by how late in the game you recruit her.

While Chimney is a Brawler, use the extra Move from her Flanker skillsto enhance her Charge distance, ensuring that she always has someone to swing her hammer at.CoolandSidestepwill help her Charge more often and keep to cover, so be sure to assign Cogs to those skills from the Flanker tree.

Wesley, Chimney, Daisy, and Poe prepare for a boss fight against the Navy Commander’s mech in Steamworld Heist II.

Once Chimney reaches Brawler 3, she’ll be able tofire a Sidearm as a Free Action, so equip her with a decent pistol in one of her Utility Item slots; it can be a tier behind the curve or a hand-me-down from another character, it doesn’t have to be the best Sidearm in your inventory. The other Utility slot should go to a set of Knuckles toenhance her Melee damageuntil you completetheHouse of Painmission (see below).

If you get theWarm Gloves, they make a great fit for Chimney as they enhance melee damage and protect against the damage inflicted by Chill. They don’t stop her from being Frozen, though!

Don’t be afraid to send Chimney into hordes of weak enemies, especially on missions where you face lots of Rattlers. HerTit-For-Tatability causes her todeal two damage to any foe that damages her, which can weaken or kill several foes outright, while the armor she gets fromHard Shellas a Brawler helps mitigate damage. On her turn, she can heal byscrapping foes with melee attacksusing the Brawler’sAdrenalineskill. Upon getting the Epic Swag from House of Pain, you’ll receive thePain Amulet, which essentiallydoubles the damage dealt by Tit-For-Tat;swap out Chimney’s Knuckles or Gloves for it and let enemies scrap themselves trying to bring her down.

If Chimney is still taking too much damage, have her learn Slot Machineby taking a level in Boomer. Use the third Utility Slot to give her extra Armor with an item like Titanium Alloy.

Chimney Flanker Build

Once Chimney reaches the maximum level in Brawler, hand off her hammer to someone else andequip her with a shotgun to switch her back to Flanker.By this point, you’ll probably have unlocked the second set of Personal Upgrades; save your Shards and be sure to teach ChimneyDouble Downas soon as you can. This lets herattack twice with her primary weapon- now she’s a double-barrel threat!

Ditch the Sidearm and give Chimneyeither extra Armor or Health, depending on what you have available. Additional Cogs can also be useful to help her retain her old Brawler skills. Be sure that she hasSecond Wind,Shifty,Payback, andHard Shellequipped, as well asGutsif you have the extra Cog to spare. This build keeps Chimney’s tanky survivability and lets hercontinue to heal by scrapping enemies- which she’ll be able to do even more efficiently with double shotguns!

As a Flanker, Chimney can also deal extra damage from the rear thanks toBackbiter. If you upgrade the ability toBackbiter+on the submarine, these attacks will alsoignore armor.Keep leveling Chimney up in Flanker, and she should see you through the rest of the game as a star of your lineup.
