Summary
Agility is one of the most useful S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats inFallout 76, and particularly so for specific builds. There are more all-around great perk cards here that are useful in any build than in some of the other stats, making this one of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L.s that you can’t really go wrong investing at least a few points in.
For those using some variety of pistols or a stealth build, Agility is going to be a heavy investment for you. It has some must-have damage perks for a couple of different weapons and quite a few important damage buffs for specific situations.

10Thru-Hiker
Food And Drink Weight Is Reduced By 90 Percent
Thru-Hiker is a convenience perk at heart, but it’s one of the most universally applicable. Almost everyone is going to be carrying around at least a little bit of food and drink, and some people will carry around a lot of food and drink with them.

Thru-Hiker will ensure that food and drink don’t weigh you down too much, leaving your backpack more open to carrying around whatever else your heart desires. This will be especially useful in a build making heavy use of Nuka-Cola instead of Stimpacks. It combines particularly well with the Good With Salt perk card or theRefrigerated Backpack Mod.
9Covert Operative
Your Ranged Attacks Do An Additional 50 Percent Sneak Attack Damage
For those running a sneaky build and utilizing a ranged weapon, Covert Operative is going to be one of those perks you may’t (or at least shouldn’t) do without. Sneak Attacks already do extra damage, and Covert Operative will buff that extra damage by a considerable amount.

Keep in mind this only works with ranged weapons, so any stealth build that relies on melee weapons is not going to benefit whatsoever from this perk.
8Gun Fu
V.A.T.S. Swaps Targets On Kill With +10 Percent, 30 Percent, Then 60 Percent Damage To Your Next Three Targets
For someone heavily using V.A.T.S. and probably investingin the Perception stat, Gun Fu is a perk that you might want to consider. It’s somewhat similar to Adrenaline in that it’s a perk that kind of snowballs its usefulness throughout the fight, provided you’re fighting multiple enemies simultaneously.

In situations where you’re outnumbered, Gun Fu will even the playing field a hefty amount the longer the fight goes on. Make Keanu Reaves happy: learn Gun Fu.
7Ninja
Sneak Attacks With Melee Weapons Do An Additional 90 Percent Sneak Attack Damage
A perk specifically for those running a melee stealth build, Ninja will be a key component for you. It adds a genuinely unreasonable amount of extra damage to your sneak attacks, meaning if you can get up close and personal with a weapon on an unsuspecting enemy, they’re quite possibly going to go from chilling out to dead with nothing in between.

A melee stealth build is not always the easiest thing to accomplish considering you need to get within arms reach of an enemy without them seeing you for it to work, but if you can pull it off, it can be one of the heaviest damage builds in the game.
6Sneak
You Are 75 Percent Harder To Detect While Sneaking
Going hand-in-hand with almost every other stealth perk in the game, Sneak will make your life much easier. Getting that sneak attack damage off is the key point to any stealth build under the sun, and Sneak will enable you to have a much easier time ensuring you aren’t seen until the enemy has suffered catastrophic damage.
This is one of those rare perks where there really isn’t any argument for not using it when running a certain build. If you rely on stealth, you’re going to rely on Sneak. Luckily, it’s only three perk points when fully upgraded, so it isn’t going to take up too much space in your build.

5Dodgy
Avoid 30 Percent Of Incoming Damage At The Cost Of 30 AP Per Hit
A great perk for players as long as they aren’t having trouble keeping their AP up, Dodgy will help keep you out of the dodgiest of situations. The damage avoidance does come at the cost of AP, so if you’re having trouble keeping that AP up or utilizing that AP heavily in your build, you might want to avoid this.

But if you usually have an excess of AP, Dodgy will be nothing but a boon to you. You’ll live about thirty percent longer, meaning you’ll be able to fight off your enemies that much longer, too. It’s going to make a big difference, especially in the more long-winded fights.
4Guerrilla
Automatic Pistols Do Increased Damage
For a build using automatic pistols, Guerilla is a perk you will be grabbing. It increases the damage of your automatic pistols for each level, and there are three different Guerilla perks cards between the first, Expert, and Master.
There could be an argument made not to use every level of all three of these to maybe include some other perks as well and not use so much Agility just for Guerilla, but it’s absolutely worthwhile to grab some of them.

3Gunslinger
Non-Automatic Pistols Do Increased Damage
For a build utilizing non-automatic pistols, Gunslinger will make every combat situation measurably easier. Any perk that increases weapon damage, regardless of the situation, may as well be gold, making Gunslinger one of the best perk cards in the Agility stat.
Depending on whether your build also incorporates stealth, you might not want to devote nine whole perk points into Gunslinger, but it’s certainly one of those perks that should show up in your build if you’re trying to make thebest pistol buildyou can.

2Adrenaline
Gain 10 Percent Damage For 30s Perk Kill
Adrenaline is an utterly fantastic damage perk for situations where you’re fighting multiple enemies at once. It works as a kind of momentum perk, ensuring that the longer the fights go on, and as long as you’re continuously killing enemies, every enemy is going to go down just a little bit quicker.
The last enemy in the group will be in for a terrible time as your damage increases with each kill. As long as you keep your foot on the gas, this is a perk that will come into effect in more or less every fight against multiple targets.

1Action Boy/Action Girl
AP Regenerates 45 Percent Faster
One of those perks good for any player and probably one of the most popular perk cards in the game, Action Boy/Action Girl, will make every single combat situation in Fallout 76 easier to manage.
Nothing stops you dead in your tracks like running out of AP, but this perk ensures that it will happen much less often. Even if it does happen, it will keep it from being nearly as big of a problem because that AP will come back with a serious swiftness.
