No matter how simple a game’s concept is, it can still have plenty of challenges and a learning curve to it, andAnger Foot’sno different. The name of the game is kicking enemies to death, and you’ll do a fair amount of shooting too, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Running with guns – and feet – blazing can work for a bit, but enemies are going to get tougher and introduce new mechanics. Whether you’ve just picked up the game, or you’re several stages in, we’ve got some tips for you if you’re having trouble dealing with the multitude of bat-wielding, gun-toting, and crime-loving enemies.

Check Those Corners And Closed Rooms
Enemiescome at you hard and fast, and most often, depending on their behavior, they’llgo straight for youwith bats, guns, and whatever else they can throw at you – often literally. Most times you’ll get a group of enemies to a room, and that’s it.
Youmay think a room is empty, then youget shot in the backbecause an enemy was hiding in a kitchen, a closet, or even sitting in a restroom stall. Alwayscheck the corners of a room and any restroom stalls, preferably with a kick or a thrown gun, tomake sure an enemy’s not hiding.

You can tell if a stall has an enemy bychecking for their feet beneath the door, as they generally won’t shoot until you actually go by or open the door.
It couldsave you from an early death, or helpprevent the lossof a shoe’sone-time-a-stage ability, like the Holy Shoe’s revival on your first death.

Throw Empty Guns For A Stun
Ammo isn’t infinite in this game. As soon as agun runs out of bullets, that’s it – you betterfind a new gun, or be prepared togo at it feet-only. So you’ll be throwing away plenty of guns as you go through levels, but theyhave a useful mechanicyou can make use of:a stunning attack.
The Scavengers can help with the finite ammo on hand, as they let youget a bullet backevery time youkick an enemy.

If youthrow a gun at an enemyor a group of them clumped together, it willstun themfor aroundtwo to three seconds, and thattime could be the differencebetween youneeding to restartthe level, orstaying aliveto beat it.
If youknow you don’t have another gunnearby, you cankick down a door and toss your gunimmediately, or assoon as you see an enemy. The stun willgive you some extra time to reactand assess the situation, and likelynet you an easier kill.

Pick The Right Shoe For The Mission
As yougain more Objective Stars, you willunlock more shoesand each one has a unique ability. You may be tempted to run Barefoot the whole game, or stick to the same shoe, but sometimes youmay want to switch it up.
Some stages, especially as the game progresses, reward you for using certain pairs of shoesas an objective, or you may find that ashoe’s specific ability helps youout with thestage’s gimmick. For example, theClogged stage in the Pollution Gang sectionhasgoons pulling you into slimefrequently.
Shoes can alsomake getting objective stars easier, like if you need headshots, you’re able to wear the Brain Expanders, and theSlide Kickers are great for speedrunningobjectives.
Most shoes do just fine, but theThrusters give you a double jump, and they do agreat job at keeping you out of the slimeif you fall in, andgive you some extra heightto get to certain enemies.
Time Isn’t Everything
Doing a level as fast as you may is one of the mechanics in Anger Foot, especially on certain levelswhere anobjective requires youto beat the levelin acertain amount of time. Sometimes it may evenwant you to do it without jumping, or wearing certain shoes.
On levels without that objective? The time is ticking down, but you canspend as much time as you wanton the level. And on some stages, you’ll actuallywant to take each room as carefully and slowly as possibleto meet certain objectives, like making sure nothing explodes.
Don’t rush yourselfif yourmission time is getting high, unless you’re doing one of the speedrunning objectives. You’remore likely to make a costly mistakeand end up dying ifyou run in and try to push throughwhen you’re worrying about time.
Create A Chokepoint If You Need
In some stages, you’ll haveseveral waves of enemiesto fight, and you’ll generally beconfined to one or two roomswhile dealing with them. Youmay be able to use coverin the room to fight them, but later on,enemies get tougher, and they’lluse cover too, or run around tobypass your cover.
If that happens, and youcan’t catch a breakinside the room, then find a room, create a chokepoint, and thenlet the enemies come to you. As long as the enemies get a peek at you, they’lleventually come for you, even if they prefer to stay at range.
You don’t have to peek at some enemies like the Crocodiles, but others, like the Pyramid-heads, willapproach quicker if you do give them a lookat you.
This cangive you timeto avoid some damage andpick off the enemies that are a painto deal with if they’re alongside other enemies, like thepyramid-headed goonswho use an assault rifle or thegimp-masked goonsthat crawl on walls and ceilings.
