The Crush Houseis a “thirst-person shooter” that puts you into the shoes of camerawoman Jae as she arrives at The Crush House to begin filming. There are four cast members in the house at a time, and tensions are sure to flare based on personality types and what happens each day!
There’s quite a bit to take in when you first begin playing The Crush House, though: you’ll need to account for Audience types, personalities, props, secret requests, and the pesky feeling that something in The Crush House just isn’t right. Here are some tips to get you started!

Pick A Good Cast - Even If It’s A Volatile One
It’s always nice when people get along, isn’t it? Maybe in real life, but not when it comes to reality television! When you first cast a new season and choose yourfour cast mates to includefor the next week, you’ll want to carefullyweigh up personality typesbefore locking in your choices, since not everyone always meshes well.
That said, you’ll watch relationships in the house grow and change while the show is on the air. Cast members can go from enemies to being a couple in just one conversation, so be sure tokeep an eye on odd pairingsto film the best television.

If youcheck Jae’s PDA for info on how the cast feels about one another, you’ll have access to a plethora of information. you may see how well they’re getting and how attracted they are to one another, but attraction isn’t always mutual in The Crush House. You may find someone attracted to someone who doesn’t think much of them at all, but that’s just television, baby!
Know Your Audience(s)
Your production assistant tells you as soon as you arrive at The Crush House that “the audience is always right,” and they’re definitely right about that. You’ll need to work diligently tosatisfy the audiences watching that day, but beware that they may want to see vastly different things.
There are34 audience typesin The Crush House, and some are a bit more straightforward in their desires than others. For example, I don’t think I need to tell you what the “Butt Guy” audience wants to see, but what is a “Pharologist” and what do they want to see?

As you move through the days and seasons of The Crush House, you’ll unlock new audience types, but thankfully, you cansee which audiences will be watching the night beforewhen you get the daily summary from Jae’s computer.
Some audiences want to see specific cast members, others prefer things from around the house, and there’s a dedicated group of viewers who tune in to hate-watch the show, so appeal to as many audiences at once as you can.Keep satisfying a satisfied audienceand you’ll watch their enthusiasm spread to other audience types, too.

If you appeal to three audiences with one shot, the show is“On Fire”and you’ll earn some good bonuses from it, so do your best to check as many boxes as possible!
“Don’t” Talk To The Talent…
… While The Cameras Are Rolling, Anyway
Your PA is pretty strict when you first arrive in The Crush House that you are absolutely, under no circumstances, allowed to talk to the cast members on the show. But that doesn’t mean the cast doesn’t want to talk toyou.
After a day of filming, you might find that you’re able tochat with cast members after hourswhen the house is dark and the cameras aren’t rolling. And since this is the entertainment industry, you can bet they’re not just after your friendship, either.

Each character can make a requestof Jae while they’re on The Crush House, asking you to film them doing certain things or finding out information for them. You’ll need to complete these requests in such a way that production doesn’t notice, and there’s an achievement tied to finishing each cast member’s requests.
Change Motion Sickness Accessibility Settings If Needed
The Motion Sick might be a type of audience that may potentially be tuning into The Crush House, but if you’re among them in real life, don’t worry! Even though the first-person nature of the game is enough to churn even the strongest stomachs, you have a variety ofmotion sickness accessibility settingsin the game’s menu.
If you’re like me and get queasy before long in games like this, try changing the following settings:

Play with the settings until you find what works best for you!
Changing Difficulty Prevents Cancelation
After your first successful day of filming during the first season, you’ll be prompted to choose a Chorby that represents the difficulty you’ll be playing on for that save file.Higher difficulties make cancelation more likely, so choose wisely!
That said, you can’t play on Hardcore difficulty by default, which doesn’t allow reseting day by day if you fail – you’ll need to earn your reality TV stripes first.

The standard mode of play has the network keeping their eye on you as normal, but if you’re just trying to get a taste for what The Crush House has to offer, you could choose casual mode instead – you’ll never get canceled, no matter how your show turns out.
Play Ads To Earn Cash
Along with the other things that unlock at the end of each successful day you keep The Crush House on air – like new audience types, music tracks, and props – you’ll progressively unlock a library ofads you may play during the showto earn some cash.
Anytime you’re not locked in on the action (or whatever else your audience wants to see),stop filmingfor a while to allow ads to play to the audience. You’llget paid for every ad that plays to completionbefore you begin rolling again.

Invest In Props
Sure, they’re a little expensive, especially as the seasons roll on and you have more camera work to do which gives way to less time for ads, but save up your ad revenue from the seasons so you can pay the higher prices toplace props around the housethat might influence audiences or the cast members directly.
There are a variety of props available throughout the game, likeinteractable objectsfor the cast to use that might spark joy for certain audiences. For example, Plumbers love seeing someone use the Watering Can item.
You’ll also find a variety ofdecorative itemsthat can give you credit with certain audiences, folks who enjoy when that thing is in the shot. Grab some extra torches for by the pool to appeal to Pyromaniacs, put a Peach Pillow in the Conversation Pit for the Butt Guys, and more.
To place props in The Crush House, you’ll need towalk around the house after the day wraps, following your glance through Jae’s computer to see the stats for the day. After that, head back upstairs - you’ll see a handful ofsmall waypoints throughout the house. Arriving gives you an outline of the prop that goes there, and you can place it if you have the cash on hand.
Find Clues That The Show Isn’t What It Seems
What, are you one of the Conspiracy Theorist audience members who think there’s more to The Crush House than meets the eye? You think it’s weird the cast doesn’t remember stuff between seasons? Did you notice that giant satellite dish in the hills out behind the house?
The game is about filming these reality show stars on the surface, but there’s something weird going on at that house. Some audiences want to see proof, but it’s a mystery worth solving for yourself, too. Throughout the seasons, you’ll start getting the notion that things are amiss, and your gut isn’t lying to you. I won’t spoil the mystery here, but keep an eye out for things that suggest The Crush House isn’tquitewhat it seems.
