Summary
Only a month to go until Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the inventively named sequel to the 1988 movie with half that name, hits theaters on September 6. To celebrate, Jazwares has invited characters from the movies into the growing world ofSquishmallows. Beetlejuice himself has been given the Squishmallow treatment, as has the original movie’s terrifying Sandworm, although the Saturn natives look a lot less scary in Squishmallow form.
The Sandworm Squishmallow, along with the Beetlejuice one, is also just ten inches tall. Between that and it not having big sharp teeth, there’s no reason to be afraid of the squishy version of these big, bad, movie aliens. The Beetlejuice Squishmallows cost $15.99 each, but there is a downside to their arrival. If you plan on seeing Beetlejuice Beetlejuice in cinemas on release day, you will have to do so without your Beetlejuice and Sandworm Squishmallows.

Even though both Squishmallows are already on Amazon, and can be pre-ordered through the links in the boxes below, they won’t arrive until ten days after the Beetlejuice sequel has been released. On the bright side, if you’re not seeing the movie until September 16, or you’re planning on multiple viewings, then the Squishmallows will be able to come with you. The perfect accompaniment to a Beetlejuice cosplay, or a great alternative to dressing up if you’d rather rep your fandom in a more subtle way.
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice. Oh Look, It Worked
Beetlejuice Squishmallow
Beetlejuice has been turned into a Squishmallow. The plush recreation of the iconic movie character has the same shocking green hair and, of course, the black and white striped suit synonymous with the Michael Keaton role.
Sandworm Squishmallow
Even more terrifying than Beetlejuice himself, Jazwares has somehow turned the movie’s Sandworm into something squishy and adorable. Beetlejuice’s Sandworms are now Squishmallows, a big smile on the plush’s face with a little tongue sticking out of its mouth.
The build to Beetlejuice 2 has been gradual but has really started to pick up pace with a month to go. Earlier this year, the movie’s lead character was added to MultiVersus, meaning you’re able to use the iconic ’80s movie character to battle against the likes of Bugs Bunny and Arya fromGame Of Thrones. Walmart also hasa new range of Beetlejuice sneakersavailable now, created by Ground Up along with a collection of Bluey sneakers that are exclusively available at Target.

Squishmallows aren’t something you typically associate with horror, but between Beetlejuice andStranger Things, Jazwares continues to prove one of its most popular toys is flexible enough to be a part of any fandom.Squishmallows new Stranger Things' plushesleaned into the want for food-themed Squishmallows as ice creams from the show’s Scoops Ahoy were given the Squishmallow treatment.
