Summary

More than a year after its heralded release,Baldur’s Gate 3’s impressive wave of momentum is far from falling flat. Mod support for 2023’s Game of the Year wasrolled out via this week’s update, andmore than a million mods were downloaded within 24 hoursof the patch going live. If you’re wondering how much weirder and wilder Baldur’s Gate 3 could possibly get, you’re about to find out, and there has never been a better time to hop on the bandwagon with the game currently on sale.

Not just on sale, but on sale for less than ever. Baldur’s Gate 3’s price has been cut by 20 percent onSteam, bringing it down $47.99.According to SteamDB, that’s its lowest price yet. Quite the deal when you’re getting more game than ever, and even better, more of the game you want Baldur’s Gate 3 to be than ever. The entire premise is that you effectively carve out your own adventure, but that has never been more true than it is right now with mod support enabled.

If you’re unsure whether Baldur’s Gate 3 is the game for you, even at this discounted price, don’t think about it for too long. This sale is a short time thing and only runs until September 9, so this weekend. Its Steam listing labels it a weekend deal and that it will run until September 9, but I’m unclear on when exactly the discount will be removed. If you’re reading this on Monday, there’s a chance Baldur’s Gate 3 is still available for less, but you’ve probably missed your chance.
