Of course, the available romantic options just aren’t enough to satiate the masses. There are routinely calls from the community for Larian to allow them to romance other NPCs, with some of the more popular targets for forbidden love beingGortash,OrinandJaheira. In aReddit thread discussing this topic, Baldur’s Gate 3 players gathered together to speak about some of the game’s many characters they’d like to get more intimate with.
Eligible Bachelors of the Sword Coast
The most upvoted choice in the thread is Exxvikyap, a Dragonborn blacksmith’s apprentice who is very enthusiastic about her work. As the commenter points out, the perfect word to describe Exxvikyap is “wholesome.”
Two other popular answers are the girlfriend-and-girlfriend duo Alfira and Lakrissa, who can both meet grisly fates before they reach Baldur’s Gate. However, if you manage to keep them both alive, they can be found happy together at the Elfsong Tavern in Act 3.
Lakrissa is popular because of the flirtatious interactions she can have with the player, while her eventual partner Alfira is sought after because of her beauty and infectious enthusiasm. However, why would you ever want to break these two up?
Tieflings (and blacksmiths?) appear popular among community members as Dammon is also a highly-upvoted choice. Dammon is the only person in Baldur’s Gate 3 who can work with infernal metal, giving him a massive part to play in Karlach’s personal quest. He is self-assured, confident and always willing to help, it’s only natural that some players have fallen for the Tiefling.
The above characters are by far the most popular mentioned in the thread, but some honourable mentions deserve inclusion. Abdirak, a follower of the pain mistress has some love, presumably from those who also enjoy sadomasochism. Rolan, the Tiefling wizard-in-training continues the trend of Tiefling love. There are the somewhat more dubious choices of Raphael and… the Drider Kar’niss, both of which probably wouldn’t end well for the player character.
All in all, we’ve learned the Baldur’s Gate 3 community is really into Tieflings, and some of them are also into spider-people with multiple eyes and open wounds. To each their own.
