Summary
Astro Bot’s credits have seemingly revealed some of the game’s post-launch cameos, as several of the characters and series mentioned aren’t currently included in the game.
There are a total of 169 VIP Bots to collect in Astro Bot at launchand, while that already seems like more than enough, it looks like Team Asobi is already planning on increasing that number. We already know that Astro Bot is going to get some post-launch support, but the game’s credits suggest that future updates will add more cameos to the already-stacked roster.
Astro Bot Could Add Cameos From Rayman, Croc, And Assassin’s Creed
As pointed out by Redditor Goldenboss6 on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, Astro Bot’s credits include trademarks for several games and series that aren’t currently represented by VIP Bots. The games listed in the credits includeRayman, Worms,Stellar Blade,Rise of the Ronin,Assassin’s Creed, Beyond Good & Evil, and, most surprising of all,Croc: Legend of the Gobbos.
Seeing as how none of the games listed above are referenced in Astro Bot via VIP Bots or through easter eggs, it seems likely that they’re going to be added as post-launch content. Team Asobi has already confirmed that Astro Bot will get several updates in the future, but we didn’t know that VIP Bots were going to be included in that.
Sadly, it looks likeSquare Enix properties and characters from Marvel’s Spider-Man aren’t going to be added to Astro Botin the future as they aren’t listed in the credits.
The characters listed above aren’t the only cameos missing from Astro Bot, however. As reported by VGC, Twisted Metal’s Sweet Tooth and Fat Princess were originally going to be featured in the game as VIP Bots and were shown in concept art for the game. It seems that they might continue to be cut content, however, as they aren’t included in the credits with the rest of the unrepresented characters.
