There’s a new Peg-E Prize Drop event happening this weekend in Scopely’s hit mobile game,Monopoly Go, but returning players will notice immediately that our girl Peg-E has gotten a bit of a makeover. Instead of paying out cash rewards from the bottom slots, we’ll now be earning points towards the Peg-E rewards.
Player response to the change is mixed so far, with many saying they’ll miss the cash, but with excellent rewards to collect during the Peg-E event - like a Wild Sticker, to help complete what you need forthe Monopoly Games albums- it’s worth playing along.
August Peg-E Prize Drop Rewards
Where we used to collect smaller cash payouts during the Peg-E events in Monopoly Go, August’s Prize Drop has brought about a pretty sizable change to how the event works. The goal is still tocollect and use Peg-E tokensfrom other events in the game, but instead of collecting cash payouts for each drop, we’re nowaccumulating more reward points.
Though the small cash payouts will be missed, it is pretty nice to actually see our progress on the larger Peg-E rewards in Monopoly Go, the ones you’ll notice along theprogress bar on the bottom of Peg-E’s cabinet. You’ll still need to play the pachinko game to collect them, which may now be easier with all those extra points coming ou way.
There are a few safes that offer multiple prizes at once, but the big prize at the end of Monopoly Go’s Peg-E Prize Drop event for August is theWild Stickerwaiting at the end, which allows you tochoose any sticker you’re missingfrom a Monopoly Games sticker album to receive immediately.
With the Monopoly Games albums ending soon and plenty of players finding themselves “gold-locked” on the albums - where they’re not-so patiently waiting forgold rarity stickers, the toughest ones to collect - it’s well worth playing the Peg-E event just for the top prize of the Wild Sticker!
