How To Start The Prisoner Quest

After reachingthe Pagoda Realm in Chapter Three, progress through the area until youreach the Upper Pagoda Keeper’s Shrine.

From there,turn left and drop downto find theCaptain Lotus-Vision boss fight.

The Destined One is about to fight Captain Lotus-Vision - Black Myth Wukong

Don’t forget to absorb its spirit,The Spirit of Captain Lotus-Vision, after defeating it, as you’ll need it later.

Defeating Captain Lotus-Visionwillunlock the purple prison cells in this location,as the prisoner we need is trapped in one of them.

With the cells now unlocked,head back to the cell where you were initially trappedupon entering this area.Next to it, you’ll find a man lying down.

Be sure to interact with the nearby corpse to obtain a new transformation calledAshen Slumber.

Interact with the man to trigger a quest in which he asks you to find four captains.

Captain Void-Illusion Location

After progressing past the Pagoda,you’ll eventually reach the Valley of Ecstasy - Longevity Road Keeper’s Shrineas part of the main story route. From there,backtrack a bit and then turn left.Progress ahead where you’ll finda huge corpse in front of you.

Thankfully, you won’t have to fight any boss here.Simply interact with the corpseto obtainThe Spirit of Captain Void-Illusion.

Captain Kalpa-Wave Location

The last captain you need to find isKalpa-Wave, another story-related boss fight that you’ll encounter after progressing from the Valley of Ecstasy - Longevity Road Keeper’s Shrine.

Defeat Kalpa-Wave and absorb its spirit,The Spirit of Captain Kalpa-Wave.

Final Step

With all four spirits in hand,return to the prisoner’s locationand interact with him togive him the four captain spirits.

This will trigger a cutscene and reward you with theChubai Spearheadweapon crafting material,completing the quest.
