How To Unlock Alexandria

Alexandria unlocks as part of thefinal quest of the expansion, the titular Main Scenario Quest, ‘Dawntrail’.

Antivirus X

The first boss of Alexandria is Antivirus X. This boss doesn’t have many attacks, but it will combine them to trip you up.

Immune Response

The first time Immune Response is used,an AoE will cover the edge of the arena.

“Foreign entity removal initiated”

Spawnsfive markersin a"U" shape around the boss. Depending on the shape of the marker, a different AoE will resolve at its locationin order, starting from the one in either of the north corners.

amalgam, second boss of alexandria dungeon

To avoid this attack, you’ll need tomove along with the markers, standing on top of the circle-shaped ones and away from the cross-shaped ones.

Quarantine

Stack Marker/Tankbuster

Targets anynon-Tank player with a Stack Markerwhile targeting theTank with a high-damage AoE. The Tank shouldspread out from the other players, while everyone else shouldgroup togetherto split the damage of the Stack Marker.

Roomwide AoE

Deals damage toall party members.

After the first use of theInterferon markersmechanic, Antivirus X will always use some version ofImmune Responseduring this mechanic. This means you’ll need tododge the Immune Response AoE while following along with the Interferon markers. These AoEs happen very quickly, so we recommend usingSprintto get to each marker in time.

Amalgam

The second boss of Alexandria is Amalgam. Here are each of its attacks and mechanics, and how to avoid them.

Electrowave

Deals damage to all party members andcovers the edges of the arena in a dangerous AoE. Avoid moving here as you avoid Amalgam’s other attacks.

Disassembly

Amalgam willsplit into partsthat move intothree corners of the arena, creating atriangle-shaped AoE that covers half of the arena. Locate the other Amalgam parts and seewhere the lines connectingthemare, then move accordingly to avoid this AoE.

On thethird use of Disassembly, circle AoEswill also appear around the arena as the triangle AoE forms. Dodge these while staying on the safe side of the arena.

Centralized Current

Line AoE

Split Current

Similar toCentralized Current, this attack createspurple electricityintwo lines to either side of the bossbefore exploding them in two line AoEs.Stay in the center line of the arenato avoid.

“Energy accumulates in the electrope!”

AoE/AoE Markers

At the same time as Disassembly, three circleswill appear alongone side of the arenathat will then eachfire a line AoE. Immediately after, all players will betargeted with AoE Markers; spread out after avoiding the line AoEs so these don’t overlap.

Amalgamight

Tankbuster

Targets the Tank with a high-damage attack. Usedefensive cooldownsto reduce the damage of this attack.

Superbolt

Ternary Charge

Consecutive AoEs

Apoint-blank AoE surroundingthe boss followed bytwo consecutive ring AoEs. Standjust outside the AoE of the first hit, then move into this area to avoid the second and third AoEs.

Amalgam will repeat these attacks until it is defeated. The main mechanic to watch out for here is thecombination of Disassembly and the “Energy accumulates in the electrope” attack, as this will force you to deal withmultiple attacks at once. Be sure towatch your positioning during this comboso that you don’t hit a low-health ally with yourAoE Marker.

Eliminator

The final boss of Alexandria is the Eliminator. Its attacks and mechanics are detailed below.

Disruption

Deals damage toall party membersand covers the edge of the arena in adangerous AoE.

Partition

Eliminator will charge energy into its sword beforestriking the right half of the arenawith anAoE. Move to theother side of the boss’s swordto avoid taking damage.

Reconfigured Partition

Eliminator willfloat its sword to the other sidebefore performingPartitionagain. Again, move to the opposite side of the swordto avoid this attack.

Subroutine

The boss willmove its hand armament to one side of the arena, where it willcharge up a line AoE attack. Move out of the glowing purple line indicator to avoid taking damage.

Ring AoE/AoE Markers

Thesecond use of Subroutinewill be completely different. This time, the boss’sElimbitwill create acircular safe area underneath itself, darkening the rest of the arena, indicating that thearea outside of its safe area will be attacked. At the same time, Eliminator will castPartitionto attack half of the arena.Stay underneath the Elimbitandmove to one side to avoid Partition. Immediately after, all players will betargeted with AoE Markers; spread out to avoid overlapping these.

Overexposure

Line Stack Marker

Targets a random player with aLine Stack Marker. Group up on the affected player’s position to spread out its damage.

Lightning Generators

Summon

Eliminator will summonsix Lighting Generatorsand begingathering Charge. At the same time, both versions of Subroutine will occuras well astwo new attacks, Light of Salvation and Light of Devotion; each of these will need to be dodged accordingly as you destroy the Lightning Generators.

Holo Ark

Deals damage toall playersaccording to Eliminator’s Charge level. At100 Charge, this attack willinstantly kill all players. Quickly destroy the Lightning Generators to prevent this.

Knockback

Thisthird version of Subroutinewill create ablue knockback markernear thenorth side of the arena. Move close to it without stepping inside to beknocked to the back of the arena. At the same time,Light of Salvationwill target all players with line AoEs; again, spread outto avoid overlapping these.

Elimination

Roomwide AoE/Line AoE

Deals damage toall party memberswhile creatingthree sets of purple line AoEs. These will grow in size slightly before exploding;move away from each setto avoid taking damage.

Eliminator will repeat these mechanics until it is defeated. The most deadly here are the variouscombinations of Subroutine and Partition, as they will force you to dodge multiple mechanics back-to-back.

Additionally, a lot of this boss’s attacks aren’t fully telegraphed, forcing you tolearn their visual queues. Specifically, we recommendwatching the boss’s sword as it movesto make sure you’re on the right side when Partition resolves.
