Picking up and wearing merch of your favorite Nintendo property is a super fun way to show off how dedicated you are to whatever series you’re championing. If the half squid, half kid world ofSplatoonis your absolute vibe, you can finally rep them with a pair of these Converse sneakers.

Just earlier this week Nintendo announced the limited edition crossover is coming exclusively to Japanese stores and markets for a limited time, surely turning them into a collector time that plenty of fans will be clambering after in no time.

The Only Upgrade Will Be To Your Style

It should come as no surprise that Nintendo would want to partner up with a brand like Converse. Half the fun of the Splatoon games comes from the fact that they are filled with hyper-stylized and super cool designs that help make your character stand out from the crown.

Converse x Splatoon 3 Converse Shoes

One of the several pairs of Converse sneakers released in the Splatoon 3 DLC collaboration, these shoes sport the signature ink splatter across the side of them and a mystery character face as well. These shoes are exclusive to Japan though, so unless you’re in Harajuka, it’ll be a hard sneaker to track down.

The collaboration with Converse brings several different designs to the table, depending on what you’re looking for or need from your shoe. Adults can pick from either the All-Star or the All-Start ZIP Hi, while kids can snag themselves a smaller version of the All-Star Zip Hi and a sporty RS model if they prefer.

The shoes come in a variety of colors, a light grey, black, or white depending on which adult shoe you get, or a light grey or deep blue for the kid’s shoes. Across the side of the shoes, you’ll find a very goopy splash of yellow ink with splotches of blue breaking it up a bit. You’ll also find a little picture of a specific character tied to your shoes.

Once you place your order and your shoes are on their way, you’ll know they have arrived thanks to the custom shoe box design that holds your shoes safely while they travel. If you’re lucky enough to find yourself in Japan during the launch window you can snag yourself a pair of customizable shoes at the White atelier By Converse Karajuka store until September later this year.

The whole release is done as part of a collaboration to helpcelebrate the release of the “Side Order” DLC. Being there in person means you’ll be able to customize your shoes and even get an original sticker as a bit of a bonus. The store will also have other Splatoon 3 things to see, making the whole thing a rather fun event, even if it is exclusive to Japan.

The Splatoon and Converse collaboration is available now exclusively from the Converse Japan website if you’re looking to order online, or from Converse Harajuka and White atelier By Converse stores in Japan. The drop launches on August 23 and is sure to go fast, so if you have a buddy in Japan you can order through, now’s the time to put them to good use.
