Summary
Rabbits have been a creature type since 1999, first released inMagic: The Gathering’sPortal Three Kingdoms set. Despite how old Rabbits are, there actually aren’t a large amount of Rabbits in the game. They appeared as one-offs in various sets, with Bloomburrow in 2024 giving Magic a large injection of Rabbit cards.
Despite Rabbit’s relatively low amount of cards, they’ve made a notable splash in Magic, with many having fantastic effects that either support other decks or are strong enough to build your entire deck around. Rabbits tend to have token themes and play into large battlefields of monsters.

10Rabbit Battery
Hasty Buns
Rabbit Battery is a useful utility creature, able to either act as a turn one attacker on its own or give a minor stat boostand haste to another creature.
A benefit of reconfiguring Rabbit Battery onto a creature is that if a board wipe happens, Rabbit Battery will simply return to being a creature since it’s considered an Equipment while attached to a creature. Red is the color of aggro, and being able to turn an attacker without haste to one with it can be very impactful in the right decks.

9Burrowguard Mentor
Go Wide, Get Tall
Burrowguard Mentor can become massive if you have a lot of creatures on the battlefield. At a base, it’ll be a 1/1 with trample, but with each creature being put on the battlefield, that’ll only go up.
What makes Burrowguard Mentor so good is the ceiling. Trample is a premium ability, and having the potential to have a creature with high power and toughness with trample for two mana is amazing. Burrowguard Mentor is on the weaker side if you don’t have enough creatures, but over the course of a game, that’ll change.

8Kwain, Itinerant Meddler
Rabbit Group Hugging
If you areplaying a group hug deck(a deck that helps other players so you’re seen as not a threat while slowly assembling your win condition), Kwain, Itinerant Meddler is often included because it is useful for the strategy.
There is no downside for an opponent drawing a card, making it so Kwain will often stay on the battlefield since it’s drawing everyone cards and gaining them life. Drawing in group hug decks is vital for the strategy and what makes Kwain such a staple in those decks.

7Claim Jumper
Ramping In White
Claim Jumper isone of the best ways to ramp in white. If you’re really behind on lands, or if your opponents are in green and ramping faster than you, it’s a great way to catch up and get multiple lands onto the battlefield.
Claim Jumper has the potential to get two Plains out of your deck. Notably, these don’t need to be basic Plains. As such, you can fetch dual lands and triomes out from your deck to make sure you have access to all of your colors if you’re in a multi-color deck missing green.

6Pollen-Shield Hare
Adventurous Rabbit
Pollen-Shield Hare is a great card if you’re planning on playing a deck focused on creature tokens. The sorcery part of Pollen-Shiled Hare helps to suddenly turn any creature into a powerful attacker, especially if they can’t be blocked the turn you use it.
On the battlefield, Pollen-Shield Hare’s static ability is a greatway to buff all your tokens. There are a lot of other permanents that give tokens a stat boost, so when all of these combine your tokens, even if they’re 1/1s, they’ll be threatening in combat.

5Regal Bunnicorn
Permanents Are Power
Regal Bunnicorn is a Rabbit that wants you to have as many permanents on the battlefield as possible. Notably, these can be token permanents, which can be very easy to generate in the right decks with how many cards create a ton of tokens.
Regal Bunnicorn sees play in Convoke decks since its stats are very easy to reach high numbers. For just two mana, Regal Bunnicorn can have massive stats if you’ve successfully put a ton of permanents on the battlefield. It just doesn’t count lands.

4Jacked Rabbit
Multiplying Rabbits
Jacked Rabbit has the potential to create a ton of Rabbits every attack. You canload as many +1/+1 counterson it as you have mana to spend on the X in its casting cost. If you have ways to put more counters onto it, such as proliferating, the number of Rabbits Jacked Rabbit can make, grows even more.
Jacked Rabbit is a creature you want to ensure always has a lot of +1/+1 counters on it, as this will keep giving you 1/1 Rabbit tokens for each attack, and with high stats, it won’t be in danger during combat.

3Ms. Bumbleflower
Draws And Counters
Ms. Bumbleflower is the face commander of the pre-constructed Commander deck Peace Offering, and one of the best Rabbits Magic has to offer. While it does make your opponent draw cards, it’ll eventually draw yourself cards when you start casting multiple spells a turn.
It’sa great card for group hugand +1/+1 counter decks. Ms. Bumbleflower has great defensive stats as well, deterring blockers since five toughness can be a struggle for decks to get through to make sure it sticks around in combat. If you opt to give Ms. Bumbleflower counters, its stats can quickly get out of hand.

2Baylen, The Haymaker
Token Utility
Baylen, the Haymaker is a unique token commander, capable of tapping them to do a plethora of effects. It can either generate mana, draw cards, or grow Baylen massively with counters.
It’s easy for you to amass a large battlefield of tokens in Naya (red/green/white) colors, making it easy to activate any of Baylen’s effects. They are all versatile and good for both set up and to start closing out the game. With how easy it is to cast Baylen, you can continuously amass tokens and use them with Baylen’s effect before your opponents have enough resources to deal with it.

1Preston, The Vanisher
Pulling Illusions Out Of A Hat
Preston, the Vanisher is one of the best support cards for blink strategies in all of Magic. There are a ton of ways to have creatures enter the battlefield without casting them, and when combined with token doublers, you may trigger enter the battlefield triggers a ton of extra times.
With the right cards, Preston can easily enable infinite combos and massive amounts of card draw, the latter of which being something white can struggle with. It has great stats as well, making it hard to get rid of short of generic targeted removal.
